For some reason, the icon that represents GIF files on my computer has been replaced with a blank icon. Normally, the icon is a page with a red square, a blue circle, and a yellow triangle (I think, anyway). However, that icon has disappeared in favor of the "blank file" icon (the one you get when you create a file without a file type extension, or a file with an unknown extension). Does anybody know what's going on, or how I can fix this? I'm on Windows XP Service Pack 2, by the way, in case that helps.
It may have to do with what program is the default that opens it.
I just fixed it. It was just acting retarded. Really retarded. All I had to do is check the properties of a file and then click the button that says "Change" for the default program it opens with.
I figured it might have had something to do with that.
I didn't even have to select a program to open it with. All I had to do is click "Change." Weird. But at least it's fixed.
