You mean LAN connection for Legacy? Right now it doesn't work. Something's wrong with the network. There's a program called Player Connector you can set up and it can you can make servers for games, but instead of using Legacy, use StullTag. It works great, but the downside is that you have to shut down your firewall for as long as you play.

if u want multiplayer doom, download ZDaemon. deatchmatch and cooperative. works with your firewall on or off. connetions and servers are virus free. u can also chat like irc with other players in this program. downside is chex quest doesnt work with it but its still great, i love it. highly recommend it.

I'd like that but i'm not aloud doom :( because my mother is not a friend of killing demons, or demons period, so i wanted to know for tucq, but thanks any way.

hmm it was tucq that didnt work with ZDaemon, i bet the original chex quest IWAD would work! if u have it try it!

Hahaha!
It has been so long since I have played over the net that I have forgotten how to do it.
There is a two player split screen option in Legacy though. The only problem with it is that both players have to use the same keyboard, and that the keys for player 2 are not defined by default, meaning that you will have to go in and assign the keys for player 2.

if u try tucq with ZDaemon, it gives u an error. something about an missing texture...
i would try the original chex quest IWAD if i were u

You mean Legacy erorr missing gstone texture? i had this problem many of times.
the problem is its missing a patch, i'm not sure which it deletes it or it creates a texture by a legacy bug. my answer is a long time to do like 30 minutes which seems forever, delete the texture folder, hold ctrl and click on every patch then right click or go to image and hit add to textures, now go to the folder Pnames and click it scroll down and fined the gstone name and then find the number beside it, delete every thing on the gstone line, now you remeber the number? chang all the ones under it that number and up.
Example.
GSTONE : 1 delete this line
WALL : 2 change to 1
WALL : 3 change to 2
does this help?
boingo, i did this with my brother when we first discovered legacy by, one day i was bored so i took out my chex cd and played this again and then we downlouded chex quest2 and downlouded the setup tucqp2b3 :)
EDIT= i forgot to tell you, you need WXE.exe

I confirmed this a while ago when I tried. I experienced major difficulties trying to use player connector running legacy. The problem is pretty much unresolved, even on a local LAN.
The legacy team says this may be fixed in 2.0, if and when that comes out.

Did you try the way i said it?
Lucius Octavion - April 23, 2007 03:33 AM (GMT)
I've pretty much tried any way possible.
