Title: Official Chex Quest website printouts SCANNED!

Lucius Octavion - December 27, 2006 07:28 PM (GMT)
For those of you who are new, a while ago I had mentioned that I possess printouts of the REAL OFFICIAL chex quest website from 1996, that doesn't exist anymore. This is quite possibly the last remaining piece of the official chex quest website today.

I delayed so badly, and have kept you guys waiting for so long, and you probably thought I would never do it, but I did. They are scanned and uploaded! This is IT guys! This is all I have left of the official CQ site. You can even see the date it was printed out on the bottom of the pages!

They are all image files in a zip folder. Go get it. And sorry for all the suspense. :D

Mob720 - December 27, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
Hehe, I just looked at that and it said the chex guy's name is Chexter.

EDIT:I just looked at it again and it said it was Fred.

Damien - December 27, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
Finally! :) I've been waiting a long time for this!

Dvader0086 - December 27, 2006 09:08 PM (GMT)
WOW! I never thought I'd see the day.

Thanks Lucius!

Flemoid_Slayer - December 29, 2006 05:51 AM (GMT)
SWEET! THHANKS LUCIUS! It's awesome to see that this finally got done!

But it's also a bit of a let down, not your fault Lucius, but does anyone else think the FAQ was totally pointless? But the character bios were cool, that's weird that the Chex Warrior's name was Fred. Who would've thought? (and mob720, when did it say his name was Chexter? ) It's also cool to see those unique pictures of each character, too bad they aren't in color.

Another thing I noticed, in the links on the left, one says "ending animation" (or something like that). Could this be the elusive CQ2 story video? I guess we'll never know.

Lucius Octavion - December 29, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
The FAQ is kind of silly, and overall the website is kind of unspecial. But you have to consider that it was only 1996. I mean, it basically says to make the game harder, turn your screen contrast down so it's harder to see!

So at least now you got to see it.

Pg 4 section 1 chapter 1 and I quote:

In Chex Quest, you're Chexter, a member of the Chex Squadron...

That's where I got it.

GameMaster - December 30, 2006 01:28 AM (GMT)
my dialup too slow, the dload will take over 2 hours

Master of Nachos - December 30, 2006 03:48 PM (GMT)
We should definitely add this to the History of the CQFF Timeline.

EDIT: Darn! I forgot that I had to download. My harddrive hates me.

Lucius Octavion - December 30, 2006 04:18 PM (GMT)
Dude, you still didn't talk to your parents about it? tsk tsk...

Master of Nachos - December 31, 2006 02:48 AM (GMT)
Actually I have. They don't know why. My harddrive needs at least 200mb of space. but I only have about 50mb.

whoa, I didn't read that extensively, that's weird. Good stuff, very important to CQ history

Master of Nachos - December 31, 2006 09:03 PM (GMT)
I can't believe the Chex Warrior's name is Chexter. I think they could come up with something a little better than that.

Lucius Octavion - December 31, 2006 09:28 PM (GMT)
Well, it also said it was Fred, so who knows what his name really was intended to be.

Master of Nachos - January 1, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
Ah who cares, I can't believe you have printouts of a website that was probably erased years ago!

Lucius Octavion - January 1, 2007 03:57 AM (GMT)
My father printed them out at work because we didn't have a printer.

Master of Nachos - January 1, 2007 04:03 PM (GMT)
Wow you didn't have a printer? How did you do School Projects if they needed to be printed off a computer?

GameMaster - January 1, 2007 05:57 PM (GMT)
1. go to a friends house
2. use the library
3. print it at school

etc, etc

Lucius Octavion - January 1, 2007 07:04 PM (GMT)
Hahaha! You're both wrong. I was in Kindergarten! I didn't have any homework then, not to mention projects!

Master of Nachos - January 1, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
You wanted to print off Chex Quest website pages in Kindergarten?

newstead_jr - January 1, 2007 09:16 PM (GMT)
Well its a good thing he did!
I'm guessing that the Chex Warrior's name is Fred Chexter, because he is refered to by those two names.

Does anyone know whhat those two "secrets" that the characters have are?

Master of Nachos - January 1, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
Nope, not a clue.

Mob720 - January 1, 2007 10:21 PM (GMT)
No, but I read it in the printout, like the janitor and such...

Maybe the janitor is evil! :o

GameMaster - January 2, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
flemoid spy in disguise perhaps?

Kuwabara - January 2, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
The secrets are that they are cerealist againist the bagel types!(we don't want any bagels in the feduration of CERAL!)

Lucius Octavion - January 2, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
I don't know what those secrets are either, it's really interesting.

and master of nachos, I was in kindergarten when cq was released. So, my father printed the pages out when the website was still up because he liked the game too. There. Clear and simple. ;)

those bagel types as you say are "cherrios"

Master of Nachos - January 3, 2007 12:18 AM (GMT)
I once thought that one guy was a potato. But I never found out what he really was.

Kix I believe. I actually made a zorchmatch skin from his sprites. Cool stuff

Master of Nachos - January 3, 2007 03:57 AM (GMT)
You know all this talk about cereal pieces is makin' me hungry.

xbolt - January 3, 2007 08:29 AM (GMT)
YES! I can't believe you finally did it!

So the Chexguy's name is Fred, eh? Interesting.

Master of Nachos - January 3, 2007 08:20 PM (GMT)
Since you have scanned them, could you possibly post it up as a website on the net?

newstead_jr - January 4, 2007 03:18 AM (GMT)
Hmm...this secret thing...maybe we could use that in the aniversary WAD we were working on!

LOL  , that's hilarious....

I would really like to convert the JPEG's into HTML and put them up as a sub-section of my quest chex fan site. I think that would be cool!

Lucius Octavion - January 4, 2007 09:53 PM (GMT)
You can if you want.

I think that'd be a great idea, those are some new pieces of CQ art that we've never gotten to see before.

Lucius Octavion - January 5, 2007 01:04 AM (GMT)
Ya, except fer me! Hahah! :D

So are you just going to put the image on the page or totally redo it in html, ivhimss?

Master of Nachos - January 5, 2007 07:21 PM (GMT)
Who knew that the Chex Warrior had a name? I thought he was just a mysterious character.

GameMaster - January 5, 2007 10:42 PM (GMT)
Fred Chexter, it seems.

odd name

Mob720 - January 6, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
It still fits together as a name perfectly, though.
