Title: OMG, this legacy bug kills....
Description: Texture bug

Lucius Octavion - October 16, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
I was screwing around the museum, and as soon as I test it, I have errors all over the entire level like this:

I sure hope this is fixed in the new doom legacy....

It really is a bad bad bug.. :(

 Is it fixed in the new legacy?

Boingo the Clown - October 16, 2005 05:28 PM (GMT)
Hmmm ... I have never encountered such an error. I can only imagine that Legacy is having trouble communicating with your graphics card.

The only thing we can do is hope that it will be fixed in version 2.0.

I have a nVidia GeForce FX 5200. What do you run? Can someone post this on the legacy forum?

Edit: I did.

Strife - October 17, 2005 07:41 PM (GMT)
I encountered that bug several times myself when working on my Water Works level. Of course, there's nothing I can think of to solve the problem, so I guess I'll just ignore it until the new Legacy comes out.

When I was making my game, I came across that bug. I tried using a different node builder and it fixed it.

Lucius Octavion - October 19, 2005 07:16 PM (GMT)
What nodebuilder was it? Elaborate, please? :D

xbolt - October 20, 2005 05:24 AM (GMT)
Zennode.

Lucius Octavion - October 20, 2005 08:41 PM (GMT)
Doesn't doom builder (my editor) already have zennode already built into it?

xbolt - October 24, 2005 04:39 AM (GMT)
Yes, but I couldn't get it to work. So I used something else, but then I got Zennode working and now I use that.

TBOL3 - October 24, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
I had that problem.
I don't know how I fixed it, but I did.

Lucius Octavion - October 24, 2005 11:17 PM (GMT)
So Xbolt, you got the regular version of zennode and it worked?

xbolt - October 25, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
Yep.

Lucius Octavion - October 30, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
Did you run it through zennode.exe? It doesn't work for me. :(

xbolt - October 31, 2005 06:36 AM (GMT)
I can't remember exactly, but I think just having it installed got the one that came with Doom Builder working.

Lucius Octavion - October 31, 2005 07:30 AM (GMT)
What graphics card do you have?

xbolt - November 3, 2005 06:43 AM (GMT)
NVIDIA GeForce3.

Lucius Octavion - November 4, 2005 05:16 AM (GMT)
Well, I don't know what a graphics card would do, but this has not happened in other source ports. Only legacy. It happens in any redering mode.

NVIDIA GeForce3.

 Wowwwwww.thats a really good card.(sorry for being off-topic)

Is a geforce 3 better than a geforce 5200? Heh, I have a 5200 and changed the drivers a bit, but I dare not overclock it. My dad's friend fries computers like that... Man, this bug makes be want to stop legacy mapping and go to risen 3d.... But legacy has fragglescript. That is the only advantage of legacy over R3d in my opinion. Otherwise, r3d has better features.

Lucius Octavion - February 4, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
You know, all this stuff has to do with the GL renderer in Legacy. There are many other bugs related to this, particularly:

1) This Bug
2) The bug that rrppo found
3) GL Holes (zennode cant fix it)

more

I hope legacy will fix these if 2.0 ever comes out
These bugs are never in any other port!

Kuwabara - February 5, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
I can't see the screenshot you put up because when i try to load it up then it just brings me to the Are you new to Imageshack page.could you fix the link or something??

Aang1 - March 14, 2006 10:41 PM (GMT)
I've had that happen before...,What I did was I chose single map, chose that level, than loaded my name from that, got all that? ;)

Lucius Octavion - March 15, 2006 09:44 PM (GMT)
It sucks right? It's a legacy exclusive feature!
