Just thought i would pass on the word. They are hiring 25 new people for installation and repair of phone lines, mostly cuz of the new MTS TV that is rolling out and most of the current technicians are doing that. Pays 12 bux to train and i think they start you off at around 15 bux, but dont quote me on this. Very flexible hours, independant work, and you get to DRIVE a lot.. an MTS truck.. but whatever.. its cool
apply online at
http://www.mts.ca under careers and fill out an application. I think the best way is to go "Summer Student...." -> apply online. The title of the position is "Field Service Technician"
Im doing it right now as Im doing my M.Sc, and i think its the best job ive ever had so far. I was hired when i was 19, so dont think age matters, all you need to know is basic circuit stuff, like what a short circuit is and junk. Good luck to those that apply.
