Same like u... I actually can't accept this serial for the first time. I didn't watch the first episode bcoz at that moment "Clark Kent" can't be another peoples that I could imagine except Christopher Reeves (old generation) & Dean Cain (new generation).

However Smallville is a series which the story about a teenage Clark Kent. After few moment I tried to watch after found alot peoples crazy with this serial. I want to know what the specialities. Suprisely, I began to love it... Tom Welling just done a great job! He is now 28 years old, can u imagine he hold the character as 17 years old Clark Kent?!! :2thumbsup:

The story plot is very amazing & through this series we could know alots of Superman's early history. Becoz Superman is a world-wide legendary superhero.

p/s: just can't wait for the new movie called "Superman 2006" next year. Clark Kent is isn't Tom Welling anymore... but Brandon Routh, the new comer... his appearance btw is no much different than Tom Welling! Brandon will play as an adult Clark Kent with Superman complete suit.

Hi Ah M! Actually I just bought new PC... more faster & flexible! :2thumbsup:

I'll try to be active forumer from now on.

Talking about Smallville, it's not too late to follow this serial. I've both complete episode from season 1 until season 4... from the story began about the baby Clark (a.k.a Kar-El) fall from sky with meteor rain... then how his situation in his high school... and the most important how he handle is abilities & power.

The teenage Clark Kent dun hav the complete Superman powers yet. In season 1, he suddenly got x-ray power through his eyes. In seasonh 2 he can release a laser from his eyes & burn everything. And in season 3, he got a bionic ears. While in season 4 he flew once! Clark still didn't wear any sunglasses. Oh ya.. in season 2, his best friend knew his secret - that he is not a human! But then they keep it as a secret together... it's not so easy as what they thought as the secret is almost break out in many times!

To those Leon's fans that enjoy watching Leon's love story movie before, Smallville is something interesting to fill your leisure time. It's so interesting story - so challenging, fun, & cheerful drama. Why don't u give a try to watch the first episod of 1 season? SMALLVILLE season 1 : Pilot (Episode 1)

Written by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar
Directed by David Nutter

October, 1989: A meteor shower rains down on Smallville, Kansas, wreaking havoc upon the inhabitants. Among those killed are Lewis and Laura Lang. Their three-year-old daughter, Lana, witnesses their tragic death while in her Aunt Nell's arms. Outside of town, nine-year-old Lex Luthor, son of corporate mogul Lionel Luthor, and heir to "LuthorCorp," wanders into a nearby cornfield. There he encounters a teenage boy, Jeremy Creek. Jeremy has been stripped and tied to a stake like a scarecrow - the victim of a traditional high school homecoming game prank. The meteors crash into the field, leaving Jeremy unconscious, and young Lex bald. Jonathan and Martha Kent, a handsome, childless couple, are returning to their farm when their truck is run off the road by falling meteors. They awaken from the crash, and see a small boy peering in through the window at them. The Kents discover the boy's spaceship, which has fallen undetected to earth among the meteors. Unable to have children of their own, they decide to adopt the boy and keep his origins a secret. They name him Clark.

The Present Day: Clark Kent is now in the prime of his adolescence. Incredibly strong and fast, handsome yet awkward, he longs to "get though high school without being a total loser." His parents keep him on a tight leash, excluding him from many activities, for fear that his unique abilities will be discovered or cause an accident. Clark pines for the now grown and beautiful Lana Lang. Lana is the quintessential "popular girl" of Smallville High - smart, pretty, a cheerleader, and dating the school's star quarterback, Whitney Fordman. Clark's friends, Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan, joke that Clark "can't get within five feet of Lana Lang, without turning into a total freak show." Clark's clumsiness around Lana seems to be provoked by the strange green pendant Lana wears around her neck. Chloe is obsessed with folklore about the paranormal activity that pervades Smallville; and Pete has a scheme to join the football team. He wants Clark to join with him, reasoning that membership on the football team will keep them from being chosen as this year's "Scarecrow" - the kid chosen by the football players to be strung up in a corn field. Unfortunately, football is one such activity that Clark's father has forbidden him to engage in. On his way home from school, Clark is hit by a Porsche, driven by Lex Luthor. The car and Clark crash through the side of the bridge, and into the river below. Clark is unscathed, and ripping open the roof of the Porsche, pulls the unconscious Lex from the wreck to shore. Wondering how he survived the crash, Clark revives Lex.

Jeremy Creek, the 1989 "Scarecrow," appears at a auto repair shop one evening, not having aged a day. He attacks a mechanic, who was one of the football players that strung him up in the field. Bolts of lightening shoot out of Jeremy's body, and electrocute the man to death. Meanwhile, at the Kent farm, Clark arrives home from school to find a new pick-up truck in the driveway. It is a gift from Lex Luthor. Clark's father tells him he cannot keep the truck. He reasons that being a hero doesn't require rewards, and besides, much of the Luthors' money was swindled from the residents of Smallville. Clark is very upset by this, compounded with his anxiety about surviving the accident, and having super-human strength. He tells his father, "I'd give anything to be normal!" Jonathan is then motivated to tell Clark of his true origins. He explains how Clark came to earth in a spaceship with the meteor shower. He gives him a strange metal plate they found in his ship, with engravings in an unknown language. Jonathan tells Clark that he is meant for something special, and should look at his abilities as gifts. This doesn't help Clark feel any better, and he runs off to do some thinking. That night, Clark wanders through a quaint local graveyard, where he encounters Lana. Lana goes there to visit her parents' grave, and to speak to them as if they were present. Clark does not feel sick around Lana now, because she has given her necklace to Whitney for luck. Clark and Lana share their angst ("Do you ever feel like your life was supposed to be something else?") and discover that they have a lot in common. Clark walks her home, where Lana kisses him on the cheek. Jealous, Whitney watches them from the shadows.

The next day, Clark returns the new pick-up to Lex at his mansion. Lex knows that Jonathan doesn't like him, but he hopes that he and Clark can still be friends. Meanwhile, Chloe and Pete are at a crime scene, taking photos for the school paper, "The Torch." Another ex-football star has been electrocuted. They notice Jeremy, a strange face in the crowd, and snap his photo. At school, they find Jeremy's photo in the 1989 yearbook, and learn that he was that year's "Scarecrow." They tell Clark that since the meteor shower, Jeremy has been in a coma. An electrical storm came through a few days ago, and all the power went out at the hospital. When it came back on, Jeremy had disappeared. Now he is seeking revenge on the football players who strung him up. Chloe surmises that the meteor strike must have somehow altered Jeremy's body, causing it to have not aged and all, and giving it the capacity to store and control electricity. Clark finds Chloe's theory far-fetched, so she shows him the "Wall of Weird." - a huge collection of articles on the strange occurrences in Smallville since the meteor shower. Clark sees a picture of the young orphan Lana, and suddenly believes that his arrival with the meteor shower makes him complicit in her parents' deaths, as well as all the other unnatural incidents in town. Clark runs from the school, riddled with guilt. He's stopped by Whitney and some of his football buddies. In a rage of jealousy, Whitney grabs Clark. Clark moves to defend himself but Whitney is wearing Lana's necklace, and Clark is weak with pain. Whitney sees Clark looking at the necklace and puts it around Clark's neck. They throw Clark in the back of a truck and drive off.

Night. Clark is stripped to his boxer shorts and hung on a pole in a cornfield, a red "S" painted on his chest. Lana's necklace still dangles from his neck, causing Clark great pain. Jeremy arrives and tells Clark this has to end. Clark warns Jeremy to stay away from his friends, but Jeremy refuses and leaves for the homecoming dance. Lex sees Jeremy leaving the field and goes to investigate. Finding Clark, Lex frees him and the necklace falls off. Instantly revived, Clark quickly dresses and takes off, leaving Lex to examine Lana's necklace. At Smallville High, the homecoming dance is in full swing while Jeremy is outside preparing his revenge. Clark arrives and again asks Jeremy to stop. Jeremy tries to use his electrocution power on Clark, but Clark is unharmed and hurls Jeremy across the alley. Jeremy then drives a truck into Clark, carrying them both through a brick wall and smashing open a water main. The truck begins to fill with water and Jeremy's electricity power rages out of control. Jeremy shocks himself into unconsciousness. As he comes to, he has no memory of what he's done or what has gone on. As the dance ends, Whitney and Lana, the homecoming king and queen, exit only to find that Whitney and buddies' trucks have been stacked one on top of the other. Later, in his loft, Clark tells Jonathan he's glad it was Martha and he who found him. Then Lana arrives. She's come to collect her dance. Clark and she share a special moment as they dance gently, but Clark's reverie is broken by the sound of horns honking. Lana is gone - Clark was daydreaming. "Thanks for the dance, Lana."

Written by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar
Directed by Michael Watkins and Philip Sgriccia

After the homecoming dance, in the tree outside Lana's bedroom window, Greg Arkin, an acne-ridden, insect-loving teen, secretly videotapes Lana. At home, Greg finds his mother, Arleen, watching one of his old videos of Lana. She's angry and disgusted at both of Greg's habits, his stalking Lana and his insect collecting. Greg decides to run away, but as he drives out of town, some of his insect cages break open, Greg crashes into a telephone pole, and the insects swarm around him, stinging and biting. Later that night, we see Greg in his room, covered with bug bites, clinging insect-like to the ceiling.

Clark has a dream of flying and awakens to find he is floating. He then crashes down, crushing his bed beneath him. Later, Clark is helping his parents at the Smallville Farmers Market. Whitney and Lana arrive and stepping away from Lana, Whitney tells Clark he needs Lana's necklace back. Clark doesn't have it. At the same time, Greg, looking and feeling supremely confident, makes a date with Lana for her to help him with some homework. Whitney tells Greg to stay away from Lana, but Greg isn't daunted. Later, as Whitney is driving home, Greg leaps from a tree onto Whitney's truck causing Whitney to crash. The Kents drive up and see Whitney unconscious inside. Clark drags Whitney out, then shields him with his body as the truck explodes in a huge ball of flame. Horrified, Jonathan and Martha rush to Clark, amazed, but relieved, to find that he is alright. Back at home, Clark tells Jonathan about that morning's floating incident; "What's happening to me?" he asks. Jonathan doesn't know but assures Clark they'll work through it. Meanwhile, Lex suggests to Lana that she's dating the wrong guy, and cryptically tells her she should ask Whitney what he was doing before the homecoming game. Back at Greg's house, Arleen arrives home to find the thermostat set at 103 degrees, and Greg's room covered spider silk. Greg appears behind her, suggesting that he is now the end product of millions of years of insect evolution. First he'll eat, then he'll molt, and then he'll mate. Terrified, Arleen tries to back away, but Greg stops her with a torpedo of wet silk he shoots from his mouth.

At Luthor Mansion, Lex gives Clark the "Trojan horse" to Lana's heart: her necklace. Lex opens the box he's keeping it in, and Clark is overcome with weakness. When Lex closes the box, Clark feels fine. Intrigued, Clark asks Lex what the box is made of. "Lead." At school the next day, Lana confronts Whitney about making Clark the "Scarecrow," and asks for her necklace back. When Whitney admits he lost it, Lana is furious and storms off, looking for Clark. Greg bumps into her, and reminds her of their study date. Lana says she can't talk, she has to see Clark. Greg is angry and jealous. Back at the Kent farm, Clark tests the effects of Lana's necklace. When he opens the lead box he immediately feels weak and sees that his veins are black, pulsing and throbbing beneath his skin. When he closes the box he feels fine. Unsure what to make of it all, Clark returns to his loft to find Lana waiting for him. He quickly hides the box. Lana apologizes for Whitney's behavior. She thought she knew Whitney and now wonders what else she's been blind to. She tells Clark that Whitney even lost her favorite necklace - it was made from a fragment of the meteor that killed her parents. Meanwhile, Greg is in the shower, shedding the outer layer of his skin as he molts. That night, Greg attacks Clark in the barn. Greg then pushes Jonathan from the barn rafters, hurling him towards the upturned tractor blades below. As Jonathan plummets in slow motion, Clark speeds under Jonathan, breaking his fall and saving his life.

In the aftermath of Greg's attack, Clark confesses to Jonathan that he feels responsible for the bad things that happen in Smallville since they seem to be caused by the meteors that accompanied Clark's arrival on Earth. At school the next day, Clark tells Chloe about Greg. After some research, Chloe theorizes that Greg has transformed into some sort of "bug boy." Realizing Greg is now in the mating phase, Clark races to Lana's house. Meanwhile, Whitney is with Lana apologizing for how he treated Clark. Suddenly, Greg arrives. With superhuman strength, Greg hurls Whitney aside and tells Lana "It's time... for us."

Whitney is recovering from Greg's attack when Clark arrives. Clark tells Whitney to head for a tree fort that Clark and Greg used to play in as kids. Clark then runs ahead to the tree fort, finding Lana cocooned in silk, and Greg lying in wait. Greg pushes Clark through the wall of the tree fort, and they both fall to the ground. Greg then jumps a fence and heads for an abandoned foundry. Clark follows. Unfortunately, the foundry is filled with meteors and Clark is weakened the moment he steps inside. Greg attacks Clark, getting the best of him until Clark makes his way into a metal vat made of lead. His strength renewed, Clark fights back. Greg accidentally pulls a lever that sends a massive weight crashing down on him. Meanwhile, Whitney has found the tree fort and rescues Lana. Clark arrives just in time to see the two of them together, walking arm in arm back to Whitney's truck. That night, Clark anonymously leaves Lana's necklace hanging on her front door. Lana is thrilled and grateful to have it back.

Written by Greg Walker
Directed by Greg Beeman
Rain pours down and the crowd cheers as Whitney calls out the snap count for the Smallville Crows football team. The ball is snapped, but the rain is blinding and he's sacked. On the sidelines, Coach Walt Arnold, abrasive and authoritarian, tells Whitney to run the same play and throw the ball. Whitney does so, the pass is completed for a touchdown and Smallville wins. It's Coach Walt's 199th victory. Later that evening, Walt relaxes in his private sauna, pouring water over heated rocks hiding several green meteor fragments. Principal Kwan arrives bearing bad news: several players have been caught cheating. Walt tries to get Kwan to cover it up to no avail; Kwan is suspending the players. Walt furiously slams his towel down when suddenly, his desk bursts into flames.

At school the next day, Coach Walt, now short of players, is recruiting for that week's game, hopefully Walt's 200th win. He sees Clark toss a football in the hall and asks him, or rather coerces him, to be on the team. With Lana watching, Clark reluctantly agrees, but has to face his father when he arrives home. Jonathan is not pleased; he worries that there might be an accident in which Clark hurts someone, or that Clark will inadvertently reveal his secret. Meanwhile, his hated LuthorCorp rival, Dominic, visits Lex. Dominic informs Lex that Lionel wants him to cut his workforce to increase profits. Lex has a more daring business plan in mind and refuses. There is no love lost between these two. At the Lang home, Lana informs Nell that she quit the cheerleading team, disheartened by the cheating football players. Lana now plans to fill her free time with a job. The next day, Clark arrives at football practice to find Jonathan in the stands. Clark is pleased until Jonathan tells him that he is only there to make sure no one gets hurt. On the field, Clark's emotions get the best of him and he puts on an impressive, almost superhuman, display of speed and strength. Angry, Jonathan leaves. That night, Coach Walt and Principal Kwan have a heated exchange in which the TV in Walt's office suddenly catches fire. Kwan leaves as Walt begins to realize that his anger might be the source of these fires. Looking out his window he sees Principal Kwan getting into his car. Walt focuses, concentrating intently. Suddenly, fire erupts inside Kwan's car, just as Pete and Clark are exiting the locker room. Clark sends Pete for help, races to Kwan's car, rips the door off, and drags the principal to safety just before the car explodes in a blazing fireball.

At dinner, Jonathan criticizes Clark for his lack of caution on the football field that day. Feeling completely unsupported Clark storms out, joining up with his friends at "The Beanery," the local coffeehouse. They run into Lana who has found a job there as a waitress. Lana is struggling in her new job and Clark offers her encouragement. Also at the Beanery are the cheating football players. Coach Walt summons them, and sensing a story for "The Torch," Chloe follows them to the football field. Coach Walt is waiting for the players, furious that one of them, Trevor, admitted to Principal Kwan that Coach Walt supplied them with the test. Walt berates the players, even hitting Trevor - "Nothing's going to stand between me and my legacy!" As his fury grows, the lawn sprinklers spontaneously begin shooting geysers of fire. The players are terrified. Chloe, hiding in the stands, is amazed and begins snapping pictures. Meanwhile, at Luthor Mansion, Lex is mildly surprised when Lionel arrives unannounced. Lionel is angry that Lex disobeyed his orders to lay off workers. He suggests a fencing duel to settle the issue. Lex agrees and Lionel beats him. That night at the pep rally, Chloe corners Trevor and confronts him about Coach Walt. Trevor refuses to talk, but Walt saw the exchange and grabs Trevor by the forearm, burning him, to remind him to keep his mouth shut. Then, concentrating, Walt starts a fire in the "Torch" office where Chloe is working late. Chloe runs but the flames chase her through the halls. Clark arrives just in time to break Walt's concentration and save Chloe.

In the aftermath of the fire, Chloe tells Clark she thinks Coach Walt is somehow controlling the fires. She asks Clark to talk to Trevor, and Clark reluctantly agrees to visit him tomorrow. At the Beanery, Clark, Lex, and Lana discuss their parent troubles, and Lex resolves to not cave in to his father. Meanwhile, Clark is paying a visit to a terrified Trevor. Trevor doesn't want to talk, but the hand-shaped burn on Trevor's arm is all the information Clark needs. He confronts Coach Walt before the game in Walt's sauna, but is surprised to find he is suddenly weakened when he steps inside (by the meteor fragments under the heat rocks). Coach Walt knocks Clark down and locks him in the sauna, leaving him to suffer under the meteors' power.

Jonathan and Martha arrive at the game, meeting Chloe, but Clark is nowhere on the field. Jonathan asks Coach Walt where Clark is, but Walt says he doesn't know. Jonathan checks the locker room and finds Clark locked in Walt's sauna. He kicks the door down, but just as Clark is free of the sauna, Walt hits Jonathan with a fire extinguisher. He then tries to hit Clark, but Clark's strength is renewed and he kicks Walt through a window. Walt then calls up a fire, but Clark walks right through it unscathed. Clark pushes Walt into the shower room, telling him he needs help, but Walt is enraged that Clark is beating him. His fury is uncontrollable and the showers suddenly shoot out jets of flame. Coach Walt is immolated instantly. Meanwhile, Lionel arrives again at Luthor Mansion, furious at Lex's new business plan - one that saves money without having to fire anyone. "You get one chance to defy me," Lionel says. In the aftermath of Coach Walt's death, Clark and Jonathan make up, and Clark runs in to Lana on the now empty football field. It seems Lana was not a very good waitress and was "let go." "Some days I just want to scream," says Clark. Mischievously, Lana suggests they do exactly that. They throw back their heads and release all their frustrations in a long cathartic scream.

Written by Mark Verheiden
Directed by James Frawley

Lex Luthor robs the Smallville Savings and Loan. Moments later, he bursts out the front door, backpack full of cash, and runs down the street, hurling Clark through a plate glass window. Clark's vision suddenly changes allowing him to see things as if looking through an x-ray machine. As he stares at Lex he sees that Lex's skeleton is pulsing with a green glow. Later, in the apartment above the Smallville Antiques shop, Rose Greer confronts her daughter, Tina, with the backpack full of cash that Lex was carrying. Tina rearranges her bones and muscles, slowly morphing her face into an exact copy of Lex Luthor's. Frustrated with her ordinary life, Tina is determined to keep the stolen money. Rose and Tina struggle over the backpack. Rose loses her grip and goes tumbling down the stairs, landing dead at the bottom.

At the Kent home, Lex reassures the family that he was in Metropolis with 200 people at the time of the robbery. That day in gym class, Clark has more flashes of x-ray vision; he sees the muscles under Pete's face and the inside of the girls' locker room. That night, Clark tells his parents about his x-ray powers. They are surprised but feel confident that Clark can learn to control the random flashes. Meanwhile, Tina visits Lana at home. Tina idolizes Lana, believing she has the perfect life. She even suggests it would be great if Lana and she were sisters. That afternoon, while Clark and Martha are shopping in town, Clark suffers another bout of x-ray vision and sees the strange green skeleton again. When his vision returns to normal, Clark sees that the skeleton belongs to Tina, who is entering the antique shop. Clark reminds Martha that she needs to visit the antique shop, but when they get inside they find only Rose. Clark goes back outside, while Martha finds a stack of money wrapped in a Smallville Savings and Loan band. Rose makes an excuse, but Martha is suspicious. Rose steals Martha's car keys and then Martha leaves. Out on the street, Martha looks up to see the Kents' truck hurtling down the sidewalk toward her, with Clark at the wheel. Just in time, Martha jumps out of the way, but she grows even more confused when Clark rushes to her aid as the truck is still driving away.

In the Kents' kitchen, Clark mentions how Tina's skeleton looked weird, and Jonathan and Martha tell Clark about the rare soft-bone disease Tina had as a child, a disease that seemed to clear up, Clark notes, right about the time of the meteor shower. Meanwhile, Lana is cleaning up junk in her garage when she finds her mother's teenage journal. After reading a few passages, she angrily goes to Nell. "You lied to me about my mother!" It seems Lana's mother did not live the happy, perfect life Lana thought she did. In town, Roger Nixon is waiting for Lex by Lex's car. Roger is a reporter for the Metropolis Inquisitor looking to blackmail Lex over his juvenile arrest record. "Does the name 'Club Zero' ring a bell?" $100,000 will make the arrest record disappear forever. That night, Nell tells Lana that her mother gave the graduation address in high school and Lana is intrigued. At school, Tina approaches Lana (wearing an outfit just like one of Lana's). She tells Lana that her mother is moving to Metropolis and wants Tina to live with Lana. Lana hesitates, not sure if it's such a good idea. Tina gets angry and threatening - "You should have said yes. It would have been perfect!" She storms off. Clark follows Tina to her locker. She sees Clark and tells him to stop following her. After she leaves, Clark concentrates on summoning his x-ray vision and sees the stolen money at the bottom of Tina's locker. Later, at the antique shop, Tina is practicing Lana's signature when the police pull up outside. They're about to knock on the door when Rose steps out and tells them Tina isn't home. That night, Lana visits Clark in his loft. She wants to thank Clark for being such a good friend, and demonstrates her gratitude by kissing Clark passionately. But as they come out of the kiss, Lana is now Tina. She tells Clark to stay out of her life and then pushes him out the window, sending Clark crashing into the hood a truck below.

At the "Torch" office, Lana asks Chloe for help in getting a copy of her mother's graduation speech. Chloe agrees to try to track it down. Meanwhile, at Luthor Mansion, Roger Nixon arrives to collect his money. Lex has it for him, but tells Roger that if he leaves with it, Lex will, among other threats, make Roger disappear: passport, social security number, bank accounts, everything. "What do you want from me?" Roger asks. Lex explains that Roger (a reporter) is to print the stories Lex gives him and to kill any negative stories about Lex. He also shows Roger the Porsche Lex drove off the bridge (the same one Clark pulled him from). Lex wants Roger to help him figure out how he survived the crash. Later, Lana, the real Lana, stops by Clark's house and they share a moment talking about their biological parents. The next day, Clark and Pete discover Tina's dead mother at the antique shop. Clark finds the paper where Tina was copying Lana's signature and realizes that Tina plans to steal Lana's life. That night, Whitney finds Lana at the graveyard talking to her dead parents. Whitney berates Lana: "Lana, they're dead." He then morphs into Tina and chokes Lana into unconsciousness.

Lana wakes up in a coffin in a mausoleum. Outside, Clark arrives to find Whitney, but no Lana. Whitney has Lana's necklace in his jacket and the green meteor pendant weakens Clark. Whitney reveals himself to be Tina and attacks Clark, but when he removes his jacket with the necklace in the pocket, Clark is re-engergized. Clark fights back, hurling Whitney/Tina into a tree, knocking her unconscious. Clark then summons his x-ray vision, scans the graveyard, and sees Lana struggling in the coffin. Clark breaks into the mausoleum and rescues her. Later, an ambulance takes Tina away for treatment, and Chloe arrives with a tape of Lana's mother's graduation address. Later that night, Lana listens to the tape, savoring this tenuous connection with the mother she barely knew.

On the shore of a frozen-over, Kryptonite-infested lake outside Smallville, a high school party is in full swing. Sean Kelvin, a womanizing football player, hits on Chloe and convinces her to give him his phone number. After, Clark tells Chloe to avoid Sean: "He's a dog." Meanwhile, Sean has ventured out onto the icy surface of the lake after an errant football. Suddenly, the ice cracks and Sean plunges into the freezing water below. He struggles, but eventually sinks into the glowing green depths. The next morning, a fist punches through the ice. Sean, skin blue with cold, stumbles through the remnants of the previous night's party toward a weakly burning bonfire. He reaches out his shivering hand and literally sucks the heat out of the fire.

On the Kent farm, Clark demonstrates his superhuman mathematics abilities helping his parents work on the farm's finances. Sadly, the farm is in trouble. At school, Sean visits the nurse's office. He's can't get warm. As the nurse takes Sean's temperature (it's an inhuman 32 degrees), Sean touches her hand, absorbing some of her warmth. Sean is instantly rejuvenated. Meanwhile, Lex pays a visit to Martha and invites her and Jonathan to his home for a business discussion regarding the difficulties facing local farmers. That afternoon at the Beanery, Lex observes Whitney back out on a trip to Metropolis with Lana. Lex then offers Clark two tickets to a Radiohead concert and the use of his limo if Clark will ask Lana out. Clark gathers his courage and does so. Lana agrees, "just as friends." Back at school, Sean, feeling cold again, approaches Chloe. When she plays hard to get, Sean instantly moves on to his ex-girlfriend Jenna and Chloe's feelings are hurt. That night, Jenna is in the shower, waiting for Sean. Suddenly, Sean pulls aside the curtain. He is completely blue with cold. Jenna panics and tries get away, but Sean has her cornered. "I just want to get warm," he says. Sean moves in for a kiss and sucks Jenna's heat. As he pulls back we see that Jenna is frozen solid. Sean releases her and she crashes to the floor, shattering into a thousand pieces.

At the Kent Farm, Martha tells Jonathan about Lex's invitation. Jonathan doesn't want to go - he still can't trust the Luthors - but Martha tells him she already told Lex they'd be there. Clark arrives and happily tells them about his not-a-date with Lana. Meanwhile, Sean's heat fix has worn off. He's calling former girlfriends, all of whom want nothing to do with him, when he notices Chloe's phone number still written on his hand. At the same time, Chloe is helping Clark pick out an outfit for his non-date, when her cell phone rings. It's Sean; he wants to meet her for coffee at the Torch office. Chloe agrees. Later, Clark and Lana are in the limo on their way to the concert and share a moment. Lana then turns on the TV and they see a news report about Jenna's death. Remembering Chloe was going to meet Sean that night, Clark has the limo stop at the Beanery. He asks Lana to wait for him and then rushes off. Meanwhile, Chloe is working at the Torch when she discovers a trail of rose petals leading to the swimming pool. When she's inside, Sean, skin icy blue again, locks the door behind her. Seeing Sean' appearance, Chloe is terrified, but in her hurry to escape she falls into the pool. As she swims to the other side, Sean plunges his hand into the water, drawing the heat out of it and turning it into ice. The ice reaches Chloe just as she is climbing out, trapping her foot in the pool. As she struggles to break free, Clark smashes open the door, rescues Chloe, and hurls Sean to the side.

Back at the Torch, Clark and Chloe discuss what happened when Clark suddenly remembers he left Lana at the Beanery. At the Beanery, Whitney arrives, surprised to see Lana. Disappointed that Clark never came back, Lana asks Whitney to take her home. Clark arrives, just missing her. Meanwhile, Sean is at a power sub-station drawing much-needed heat from the exposed power lines. At Luthor Mansion, Lex unveils his plan to Jonathan and Martha. He offers his services as an investor as an alternative to a high-interest bank loan. Attractive as it is, Jonathan is wary of Lex's offer. At the same time, Whitney is driving Lana home, asking her what she was doing out with Clark, when Sean suddenly appears on the road in front of them. Whitney swerves out of the way and his truck crashes into a ravine. Lana's ankle is injured. They head toward some lights in the distance. As Lex is wrapping up his pitch at Luthor Mansion, Whitney and Lana arrive. Meanwhile, Clark arrives at the scene of the accident and is grabbed by Sean. Sean is surprised by the level of heat he draws from Clark. Fully invigorated, Sean heads toward Luthor Mansion, leaving Clark frozen on the road.

At Luthor Mansion, the power goes out when Sean sucks heat from the generator. Jonathan and Martha go out to investigate. Meanwhile, Clark wakes up and heads for the mansion. As Martha works on the generator, Sean approaches her. He's about to grab her when Clark arrives and punches Sean, sending him flying. When Clark goes to look for him, Sean is gone. Suddenly, Sean grabs Clark from behind and begins sucking Clark's heat. Clark grabs Sean and hurls him into a nearby pond. Sean, unable to control his power, sucks the heat from the water around him, encasing himself in ice. The next day, Lex arrives at the Kent's barn to talk to Jonathan. It seems that Jonathan took out a bank loan. "At least with them, I know where I stand," says Jonathan. At school, Lana and Clark talk about their failed not-a-date. Clark asks her out again, but she's going to be out with Whitney. Clark asks her why she's with Whitney. "Because whenever I need him, he's there."
