I think the calender just comes with the first batch of CDs so it could be available in HK, depends how the load is spread out among all the shops, don't think they'll last though ^_^

Probably won't like as much as Dawn, but the main reason for that would be BTSH and WSWH. But besides that the EP is really good. I actually really like Leon releasing EP's, it's always been 4/4 or 5/5. This time it's certainly 4/4. It's so hard to rank the songs, but I must say that 1 fast track on L&P beats all the fast songs on Dawn... easily. And remember how much I liked the fast songs on Dawn... this is a great CD. I'm so happy, I just got the CD today... and it's X'mas tmw. Merry X'mas to me... :2thumbsup:

Well, I'd previewed the tracks beforehand because I was so certain it'd get here at least next week and they are all just brilliantt! The slow songs have a warming effect on you the fast song is really creative - love the accordian! The interludes are very nice too, I want Love Interlude as my wedding music! :lol: And this isn't too important but...the packaging is just so beautiful! I didn't even wanna tear the plastic off ^_^ Love LL's hair too ;)
Overall, I prefer L&P but Dawn had a few big songs so I guess it evens out, can't wait for the next one, each one is getting better than the last imo!

One complaint... I think the fast track deserved an MV...

Oh yeh, the album would've been heaps better if we didn't hear YYWT beforehand. But anyway, it's a really good album, the cover design and all look really good. See M, the background can still look good if it's fake... hehe.

Btw, not sure if I've bragged abt this yet... hehe... One of my friend's in HK ordered the CD for me from 3G, so I got my calender autographed... hehe. It's in metalic blue... and it looks really good. :2thumbsup:

Just a few thoughts on the album....I tink track 6 is realli nice! the Promises (track 10) is an instrumental of track 6 rite? actually it's realli great album...considering leon took like wat ? 2 weeks (am i correct?) just to record it! although i tink track 6 is nicer then track 7...the mv should have been for track 6....haha..guess i'm in love with track 6....but still like yi yan wei ding better...the fast song is also very nice...in fact all the songs are so incredibly nice! My order of preferance would be 5,6,7,8 (starting with the one i like best) I tink the mandarin version of yi yan wei ding is not as nice although the lyrics are almost the same...it sounds quite weird to mi...dunno why..guess leon just sings better in cantonese....and track 8 "ai feng le"...sounds a bit like "ai ni bian" in Dawn...esp the 1st part....but still its very nice....well, even the song names quite similar....and i tink track 7 with janice voice in the background complements the song very well...well any violent disagreements?

I think a lot of LL CDs are sponsered by Hutchison but we only ever get the MVs.

You're right about YYWT, I tend to skip that song and listen to the mando version...oh and I have no problem with fake backgrounds, just not plain hehe...

It's been a long time since I posted here lah...Look the banners are still here. hehehe Let me do a review on Love & Promises. OK let's be a little picky...hehehe

The cover/pics: Leon ho lang jai ah!! hehehe The bad thing is that the pic is taken from of course Hutchison promos. You can so tell that Leon is holding a phone and Amber's hand except they are edited with sparks to cover them. LOL!! Nice recycle there. OMG January...woooo...he's smiling. Why does Leon look like a little boy there? So adorable!!! *pinches cheek* OK March is the best!! That's the definition of handsome. :wub:

Track 1: Data....blur blur...Mrs Lai is right. Skipping blanks tracks are annoying. But I like to compile the Dawn and L&P albums together. hehehe

Track 2: YYWT MV...Longer version. Nothing much. I like how Leon is so sweet. I still think Amber at some angles resemble Maggie Cheung.

Track 3: Making of...seen jor lah. Also, I've seen the 2nd ad. Could've hope for a longer version too.

Track 4: Love (interlude)....mo yeh...

Track 5: It's a great start on the collaboration of Leon/Kenneth Chan/Wyman combo. I love the lyrics because it should be a great song for marriages.

Track 6: My favorite song on the album. Leon sang with a new singing style if you haven't notice. Sounds so easy to go off key singing this song. Leon controlled it pretty well. I'm just a little iffy on some of the notes. Some of the notes reminds me of that piano piece in My Sassy Girl.

Track 7: Love the guitars and Janice in there. Yes, Leon and Janice should do a duet. Very laid-back song.

Track 8: I didn't like this song at first because it's too much Kylie Minogue for me. The intro was also long. Then after a few more listens, it became catchy and I believe nobody did this type of music in HK. Oh yea this type of music, Vietnamese singers loves. I remember watching Paris By Night a long time ago and a singer sang Leon's Happy 2000.

Track 9: Leon's own penned lyrics. woooh...Leon's behind the scene work is appearing. I believe he did a lot but just didn't want to be credited too much. I'm glad he's appearing on his own which shows his talent.

Track 10: Promises (interlude)...mo yeh again....

Overall...I want more songs. hahahah Never enough of Leon.

The cover looking like Hutchison...yeah, but it's more likely that Leon just did the same pose rather than them editing the phone into a snowball - different clothes too ;) Oh, anyone notice this top looks like Leon's new top fashion buy? He wears something like that in the TVB interviews recently (notice the patch on the elbows).

Hope Leon doesn't ever release AVEPs, my stupid CD player can't even read it :(

Hmmm, we're diff... hehe, I thought track 8 was good on the 1st listen whereas track 7 took a while. It's one of those songs with a really addictive but hard to follow melody. Prob only liked it on the 10th listen. And now I actually think it's better than track 8... hehe, big change in ranking now.

Oh, I think it's recycling too... that's why the snowballs were there... hehe. Why would he re-do the pose...

And, I didn't damage the packaging... hehe... my bad... really bad wording... I cut a hole in the plastic and slid the CD box out of the plastic, so when I finish I can just slide the plastic back on, that way only the spine of the box is ever exposed to dust... hehe.

accordian is like those... things that look like a keyboard but you squish the middle part and pull it back out to make the notes. haha hard for me to explain

You know, all the bg vocals in this and Dawn are pretty good. Does anyone know if that new composer know Cantonese? a potential person to sign on... and Janice sounds pretty good. Definitely a different singing style form traditional HK singers, but they need some variety anyway.

I have a feeling that they'll both join Leon at his concert this year so if he does a pre-concert album, there might be a duet/trio?
