Hmmm, sounds like a good song... but not good enough to beat Don't Lick The Wound. :P I still say Mark is better than Chan Fai Yeung.
But yeh, been such a long time... so happy Leon and Hutchison are finally back. Green tea should be getting worried now... hehe.
Mrs Lai - November 19, 2004 10:34 AM (GMT)
Hey, anyone watch the making of video for the ad... the part when he's pretending to be Amber and he throws himself into the arms of that other guy is so cute... and the way they rehearsed the slapping was cute too. Oh, I love Hutchison and Leon so much...
Btw, anyone know who filled in Leon's 4 year gap with Hutchison? They couldn't have survived with no ads for 4 years, wonder who replaced Leon...
Ah_M - November 19, 2004 10:34 AM (GMT)

New TV Advertising Campaign for "Live 3"
A new advertising campaign on TV is starting today, featuring superstar Leon Lai, to illustrate the lifestyle "Live 3". The storyboard tells of a pair of lovers showing their deep affection for each other through video mobile phones. The message is simple and powerful. It shows how video images have the ability to let us express and share our feelings, and to elevate our lifestyles to higher realms. A new 3-3G- television commercial will broadcast tonight on TVB Jade, TVB Pearl, ATV Home and some selected channels of Cable TV at 9:15 pm. The commercial can also be viewed on the video wall at Times Square, a high traffic location, and the plasma screen network in the MTR. 3 wants to bring the message of "Live 3" to every passer-by. 3-3G- users can even preview the new commercial and its making-of on their 3G video mobile phones at 6:00 pm in the evening. |

Nah when it comes to these type of songs, I think CFY is better than Mark, only problem I have with them is that they sound so generic but ah, what the heck, as long as it sounds nice and Leon does a good job singing it :good: Hmm when will we hear it in full? :err:
Haahaha green tea  They only need to worry if this is gonna be an annual thing (let's hope it is!!) Mobile phones are so much romantic and useful ^_^ :hello?:

Yeah that bit was so funny but imo they should've just hugged each other normally because Amber's so tall and Leon ends up looking at her chest when she jumps into his arms and looks a bit awkward! :D
They probably did or why would they come looking for him again? Maybe they went back to the old way of advertising and used everyday people with the more emphasis on the products themselves. I think there was something about Shine working with Hutchison but may have been a one-off.
Beats me how Leon found time to do this though, he's always full of surprises!
Oh, seen the CableTV interview? Suspect Leon's up to something again, schedule guy mentioned about going into recording studio at 7:30 pm...:hehe: (unless he was making that up of course)

Yeh, I guessed they did the normal advertising as well. I just assumed comparisons would be all over the papers if another star replaced Leon. I think Shine advertised the internet stuff, not telecommunications.
Yeh, what's Leon doing to me... making me so :lmao: everyday. Dawn, then mando Dawn and now new song... I can sense a new EP... anyone else agree?
Mrs Lai - November 19, 2004 01:03 PM (GMT)
Also also, the middle part when he's posing for pics with his cap on backwards... wah... ho yau ying ah! :2thumbsup:

Huh thought that was so obvious! Noticed it on first view.
And usually if that happens, the girl would bend over so that their heads are at the same level but she's still in mid-air (did I make any sense?)
Hmm you think there's a need for an EP? But they're never enough...Ahh the timing is so bad! New song just a couple months after album's released and months away from the possibility of a new one!
Ah_M - November 19, 2004 04:11 PM (GMT)
ooh apparently the song will be included on the album 'The Greatest Hits of Leon Lai' album (alongside Janice's work) to be released around Xmas time. YAY! Xmas present from Leon :lmao: :2thumbsup:

So, it's not gonna be a Leon album??? I'd be pi**ed... I wasn't gonna buy Janice... I was gonna buy it for my mum... haha. Damn...
quadshock - November 20, 2004 01:29 AM (GMT)
i'm actually hoping not for an EP but...
an album of around 12 songs with Leon, Charles, and Janice each singing some. That would be niceeee
personally i think Mark is running out of fire...if you know what i mean. He's still good, but the feeling i get is nowhere near what i got when i heard "deep love words not yet spoken" or "i love you like this". I'm not insulting him...like i said he's still good. However, since so many people have gotten him to write songs, his stuff (well mostly his slow songs) are starting to blend together. I would be happy if LL worked with different people. Mark's compositions haven't decreased in quality much, but his arrangements have certainly become more simple and generic over the years...
ok enough ranting. I like this song...the arrangements are not that great (though the intro is beautiful) but the melody stands out from other LL slow songs i've heard =)
Mrs Lai - November 20, 2004 03:30 AM (GMT)
Hm, still think BTSH is one of the best slow songs ever... so I actually think Mark's improving. Love Words was a little to K for me. And he other slow songs like I love u like this, Love is more important and COG theme weren't even Mark... Before BTSH there wasn't really a Mark slow song in my top 5 slow songs. Now BTSH is in top position. BTSH is a really touching non-K song. WHy that DJ said it was "K gor ji wong" I don't know... I don't see the K in it at all. Where as this new song and all other CFY songs are so K... even if they aren't K they sound so commercial. I still think Mark's better in terms of diff-moods and overall variety.
quadshock - November 20, 2004 06:14 AM (GMT)
mark has variety; that's undeniable
i think "k song" is determined by how easy it is to sing by a common person...how easy it is for them to be on key and feel good about themselves haha. Getting the mood right is a different story

ahem...post edited :D So you were gonna buy it anyway, why's there a problem ler? I was kinda planning on buying Janice's album, well now the more reason to get it :) Ah very clever marketing ploy :hehe: Wonder how it'll work to have 2 different artists on the same album? Hmm could A Music have bought all the rights and stuff from his old companies so that he can sing all his oldies and release them on albums plus on future concert DVDs?

Well, I don't sing K... but I go to K alot with my friends and they sorta sing the same sorta songs. By K song I mean the sorta songs I can see them singing... And easy for them to be on key has really nothing to do with it... They sing it even if they're off key. Getting mood right of course is diff, they don't even try I think... But I rarely hear ppl sing songs that are full of emotions like BTSH...

Here's the thing about 'K Gor Zi Wong':
http://www.leonfansworld.com/index.asp?Mes...MessageID=18935 Still not sure what she's on about :err:
I always thought CFY was like Mark's rival so Leon never worked with him haha but I'm loving the result, sounds like his other stuff in a way but don't think you can compare to Leon's other songs so it sounds refreshing (there's not really a big Leon full-orchestra type song is there?)

The problem is I keep my CDs in my room and I was gonna buy Janice for my mum and her CDs are kept elsewhere. The main reason for buying Janice for my mum and not myself is because I don't keep non-Leon CDs in my collection... actually I don't buy non-Leon CDs altogether. I only have 2 non-Leon CDs and they were presents. So, I like the song so I want my own copy, but if it's not a Leon album, that causes some problems...
See, I'm waiting for that "day of my life" where Leon comes around to my house to visit his "no.1 fan"... then he can look on my shelf and see all his CDs there... and only his CDs... so he can say "wow, she really loves me."
Oh yeh, I was surprised Sony let him release Fireworks on DAWN... u know, they say the relationship is good... but that's what they all say. SO yeh, guess the relationship really is good... hehe.
Maybe all those concert problems was a clash between Sony and Polygram more than Leon and Polygram??? I doubt it tho... Polygram should hate Leon...

Yeh, that's what I thought... but I guess they just wanna save the music industry... hehe.
I think this song is better than track 6. So CFY better than NLS I reckon... anyone else?
Ah_M - November 20, 2004 10:06 AM (GMT)
hehe maybe, the mood of the song and commercial fit so well together, wah the more i watch the more i like!
hey that year when Leon cried for Mark coz he didn't win the big awards...wasn't it coz of CFY?
why'd you wanna buy Janice's album for your mum though? Leon might say you don't support him coz you don't support his artists  but it'll be Leon's album too so won't look wrong in your collection.
oh i keep all my CDs in shoe boxes lol...lack of room...on my 5th one now! :D
Mrs Lai - November 20, 2004 11:55 AM (GMT)
Oh, well I want to buy it cos I want to support Leon and A Music lah... but as I said I can't keep it in my collection, but I have to keep it somewhere or give it to someone who'll let me listen to it whenever I want... hehe... so mum is the only solution. :2thumbsup:
Mrs Lai - November 20, 2004 11:55 AM (GMT)
Must have been in 99 when Leon cried right... I can't remember who when the composer award.
quadshock - November 20, 2004 08:04 PM (GMT)
is polygram still alive?
i'll buy Janice's album if she can show that she breathes less heavily into the mic. It's not uncommon for enw singers to do that; it takes time to learn but i don't like hearing breathing like that ><
Mrs Lai - November 21, 2004 12:28 AM (GMT)
Nope, taken over by Universal, but I believe Polygram ppl still working for Universal.
Yeh, for some reason I think it sounds like Janice is doing it on purpose... like, she's purposely breathing that loud...
Hey... Joey breaths loud still.

From LFC lor, 5th message:
http://www.leonfansclub.com/cgi-bin/lfc/to...ic=18918&show=) (think that's what it says, few words are just '??' :P)
Janice's recordings are unplugged though (i think), would that make a difference to level of breathing you can hear?
Oh maybe not '99 then, Sammi won Gold Song at TVB so probably not CFY for best composer that year, more likely the year Eason won big.
Mrs Lai - November 22, 2004 11:08 AM (GMT)
Hmmm, that's what it looks like it says too... damn...
I remember now... sorta... I think Nic won best composer in 1999... I'd cry too if i was Leon.
