Title: a semi-fan review (unprofessional...very)

Leon Lai - Dawn // track 1 "What" is an upbeat song which i really like, but there is NO way that there's a hip hop flavor in it. that song is quite addicted.. then the second song just bore the heck out of me. it sounds like any other leon song. the third song is better, i actually quite like the instrument music in the background, even though there is nothing special about it. the melody of the song is nice too. 4th song "1 to 1" first start out very nice but when leon begin to sing it gets really annoying.. dunno why.. his voice sounds.........weird..and the melody is annoying as ever. track 5 is so-so..theres not much to say about it, really. track 6 is soooooo boring..i just hate VIOLIN! dunno why >_< track 7 is the better ones on this album. its a nice ballad with a nice chorus, i guess. track 8 is FREAKING GOOD. if only this album contains more upbeat songs like this. i think leon fits with these type of songs more. track 9 is as good as track 8..it gives me this "flow" feeling but i dont know the word to describe it. and leon's voice is sexy in here. LOL. track 10 sounds like a song from the 80's... i dunno.... i didnt like it. its horrible. track 11 is a nice ballad, worth listening to. quite very good actually ^_^ track 12 is so so nice and relaxing... =D so overall this album is definitely better than "Homework".. its like this: the bad songs are really really bad but the good songs are really really really good.. there are only several "average" one. recommend: track 1, track 3, track 7, track 8 , track 9, track 11........ thats a total of 6 songs which mean i like half of the songs on this album. thats good actually, but i really have higher expectations for leon. still love him nevetheless.. i'll rate this 8/10
just thought you'd be interested =P

omg her comments on DAWN are so....-_-"
she thinks DAWN is better than HOMEWORK as well so imagine what she would say if she reviewed that album...

hmm nice to see a review from a different perspective

How can she be a fan? Yeh, she rated it 8/10, apparently she loves him... but she thinks his voice is weird... Geez, just don't listen to him then.
And omg, she's an admin??? I should seriously set up a website too.
Gosh, she seriously sounds like she's trying to like the album.

it's always nice to hear someone's honest opinion... i haven't listen to the allbum yet, so i'm don't know how the song go, but so far i love all the songs that appeared online like those songs play on channel v.....
and there're definitely something wrong with the above person...if his voice is waird, then why is she recommend tracks : track 1, track 3, track 7, track 8 , track 9, track 11. She could just say that all the songs are bad with leon's "weird voice"

Hey, I was just thinking, would u rather an album with 5 really good song and 5 really bad songs or one with 10 above average but not the best songs?
leonfantasy - October 20, 2004 11:37 PM (GMT)
5 really good songs....
if it's not good, then i would just listen to it like 8 times a month......
quadshock - October 21, 2004 04:04 AM (GMT)
i'd go w/ 5 really good, 5 really bad...because the good songs would be more memorable. If everything's just above average i'd be tired of it after a week (i'm pretty picky with music)
Ah_M - October 22, 2004 09:27 AM (GMT)
yeah same here, if it was average then i'd constantly be thinking of ways to improve it and how something's missing then not bother listening after a while. but if there were super-good songs, could listen to them and skip the others. plus i think the good songs would do more for his career.
Mrs Lai - October 22, 2004 02:22 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I remember listening to a non-Leon CD (not gonna mention name), and there were 5 really good songs and 5 horrible songs. They weren't in a row, that's the problem, so every 1 or 2 I had to skip. So annoying when I was driving. And I couldn't be bothered programming... but then I'd be bored listening to a 10 average songs CD... I dunno... hard choice, if it was Leon then I'd prob want 5 good 5 bad, just cos even if the songs' bad Leon could sound good... haha.
