Jay Chou Fan Will Commit Suicide If Leon Is More Popular
SING TAO - Fans logged online yesterday to vote for their favorite singers for the Chinese music chart. The awards are to be held on September 4. Jay Chou and Leon Lai fans are rivaling each other head on for the best male singer category. A fan told us, "If Leon is more popular than Jay, I will jump off the building immediately." Yesterday's polls showed that Leon is ahead: 33.74% while Jay's standing is at 22.07%. A rep from Sony says, "There are always these kinds of news online. We don't want to make a big deal out of it and hope fans can exist peacefully and don't create animosity." Twins fans and S.H.E. fans are bickering too, some of whom are saying that Twins have only looks and no talent, and that their singing is terrible.

You know what, either the fan has planned this so more Jay fans log online to vote, or there is no such fan and the media is making it up to help Jay get more votes. Or, maybe the actualy awards did it, so they can then increase Jay's votes... cos Leon's votes have been falling drastically since, even tho HK fans have been voting. Anyway, I hope I'm wrong, cos Jay is one of my idols too, it's so disappointing that his supporters are such bad sport. :ph43r:

how'd LL get from 33% to 19.89%? o.o

I guess someone did post that message but they didn't mean it literally. Anyway, I really hate this online voting especially those where you can see the results. Remember that GuangZhou movie voting poll where Leon and AL were allegedly fighting for the 'title'?
And it's not fair in a way coz Leon's fans are more spread across the range whereas Jay's fans are mostly in the young adult range and have the knowledge/time to vote online.
BTW, Quad have you returned from HK? Didn't expect to see you so soon!

winning awards or not...its all okay.
doesnt matter to me anymore because as long as leon knows that his fans will always be supporting him. :)

and i definitely agree with ah m about the whole internet voting business.
I'm sure popularity is determined through internet polls. pshh. Any type of survey definitely have errors and bias.

yep, yep, 'cause let's look at it this way. If we know if Leon wins or not, then all fans from HK will come to see who will receives the award......but if they know the result already, then guess what will happen >>
