expect variety ^ ^ i'm sure he knows what ot do. David Tao signed Tension, almost signed Shawn Song (hip hop) and worked w/ LA Boyz (hip hop)....and has tried out rock styles before. Wonder if the company could try out some singers who don't do ballads...

Nooo... I want ballads... variety right? U can't get a variety without ballads... hehe.

Ok lah for first performance... he needs quite a lot of improvement tho... Like, he kinda used the same voice to sing the whole song from start to finish... I don't think that's right. But it shouldn't be hard for him... like that first performance for a karaoke singer is a great start...

But... Leon should release a CD first... don't worry abt the newcomers yet Leon...

I think it's not abt the company having a variety... I think the singers themselves have to... Singers who don't do ballads don't last very long in my opinion... hehe.

paul wong has lasted...Beyond lasted...LMF achieved "one of the most respected HK bands in Asia" status...

and it is the company. If they are brave enough to sign someone on who's not just pop music then the artist would bring variety, and VARIETY is what keeps the industry alive. So the company is who chooses what artists get the promotion, etc.

It's the company and the artists as well. But if the artists themselves can do lots of styles then there's more reason to like them. What I mean is HK is kinda not loyal... so if aren't good enough to follow the trend then u're gonna fall behind, and that's BYE BYE cos no fan is gonna stay behind with u.

LMF wasn't a one hit thing...they were popular up until their breakup with the FInalazy album (which happened to sell quite a bit) and yes they're respected all over. trust me. Malaysia, KL, Singapore (even banned, they're popular lol), etc. etc. over here in the US quite a few number of ppl listen to LMF as their only chinese band...

if anything, Paul got backing from being part of Beyond. And his songs are getting high on radio charts after Anita isn't here (RIP). But all this aside, the focus, like Leon said, is quality, not sales. LMF, Beyond, Paul Wong, Jun Kung, Garlum, etc. etc. are all quality.

well the only reason why the "not loyal" thing happens is because the audience hasn't been exposed (the mainstream audience i mean) to artists that "last" to show them that true music does not get old...

i'll buy the albums if they're good...regardless of companies. but if this company has a lot of good albums...then of course

of course...they won't be able to make much profit w/ just one singer if the cd's only come out once a year or less

Maybe I'll try Charles Ying's new album since Leon is taking good care of him!! As for others, all depends on quality!

They might, cos since they only got the one singer they don't spend that much on advertising and all... hehe. But let's just hope he signs heaps and heaps of talented singers. That way he can take EEG down and finally get that respect from non-fans.

All right ive been totally lacking in my Leon news as of late.

Let me get this straight - has Leon switched companies or somethin? Or has he started a new company?

And this new album - its coming out on the 13th? I think itll be pushed back till later. it's one day after Andy Lau's release. Heh...I wonder how the sales will be. I desperately hope that it will be released before the 26th - so I can have it while im back in my dorm at collage! :D

Yeh, Leon actually mentioned in an interview on the 28th of July that it'll prob be out in 3 weeks... but let's hope everything went better than expected and Yesasia is correct... hehe... that means we only got 10 days to go... woohoo... and don't forget the Mark concert this Sunday... we'll prob get some news vids of Leon singing some new songs... YEH!!! :D
