The Athens 2004 Olympics will open in August. Last night, TVB held a special live programme "Entering Athens - Torch Igniting Night". Leon was the first performer. He sang two songs and led 50 children from the studio to the carpark.

About Maggie Cheung winning the best actress award in Cannes, Leon said, "I'm very happy for her. I would like to call her, but I don't know whether her phone was switched on. Maybe I'll wait till she come back to Hong Kong to congratulate her face to face." About Wong Kar-Wai's "2046" not winning any awards, Leon said, "I didn't watch this movie, so I can't comment. But I guess he would be disappointed, since he had spent so much time to film this movie."

Leon has recently been busy recording new songs but there is no definite release date. Before, lyricist Lam Chik had a period of unhappiness so he has not been able to present new songs but Leon is still waiting for them.

Edit: Besides songs by Mark Lui, many other songs by various composers have also been received but most are not needed. A meeting will be held to pick out the best.

Oh, so Lam Jik is delaying the album... does anyone know what happened to him?

why not just make the album longer and include some of the compositions from the other artists? o.0

Maybe they aren't good enough. Or maybe they don't suit the theme of the new album... you know how picky Leon is ga lah.

maybe a someone close to lam jik passed away, so he's lost all mood and concentration.

leon sang 'fireworks of 2 people' and new song 'together' (canto version of 'do i still love you' on lmly ost), only half of each song though :(

Haha, they should be used to it. But hey, depression might not be a bad thing, they can write those real sad songs... hehe... I like them. I wouldn't mind Leon releasing a SAD album, he did HAPPY last time, so should be SAD now. ;)

He'll do some fast songs for sure. The last 3 have been slow, he's not gonna be that nice to me... altho I wouldn't mind a new album with 10 slow songs... hehe.

No no, I love his fast songs... but I think it should be balanced lor... he's been having more fast songs in his last albums. So he should make it up.

Plus, I tend to play slow songs more than fast songs... I can't sleep when I listen to fast (loud) songs. My dog can't either, he just stares at me. :unsure:
