Title: What slow songs can be turned into fast songs?

quadshock - May 16, 2004 08:59 PM (GMT)
which of Leon's slow songs do you think would sound nice if they were fast songs? and vice-versa (fast songs that would be great when slowed down)

Ah_M - May 17, 2004 10:02 AM (GMT)
I always found 'There Is Not A Day I Don't Think Of You' to be a bit slow, probably why I prefer the remix version of it.

cheesegirl - May 17, 2004 10:40 AM (GMT)
I never think of this..
I think maybe I have heard the songs for many times, so it'll sound strange if the fast --> slow or slow -->fast

quadshock, any example?

quadshock - May 18, 2004 12:25 AM (GMT)
i'm thinking, like ah m said, "there's not a day i don't htink of you" could be turn into a somewhat fast rock song o.0

Slow version Happy 2000... remember the 99 UNICEF concert?! Sounds really good!

GaV - May 18, 2004 08:18 AM (GMT)

cheesegirl - May 18, 2004 09:47 AM (GMT)

oh yeah, forgot about that...you never think that changing the style will work but then it does, unplugged songs are usually good.

anyone heard a remix of 'if i can see you again' once, it's over 7 minutes long?

quadshock - May 19, 2004 02:05 AM (GMT)
was it an official remix?

GaV - May 19, 2004 08:47 AM (GMT)

was it an official remix?

nah, there's this dj that does these remixs of cantopop songs, simtub or sth?

quadshock - May 19, 2004 10:51 PM (GMT)
o.o can't imagine "if i could see you again" as a fast song. is it good?

Mrs Lai - May 22, 2004 12:16 PM (GMT)
Hey, I heard that too (fast version of If I Can See You Again). It was weird... personally I don't really like remixes... official ones are ok on occasions... unofficial ones... ehhh... unless it's sth really special, otherwise...

Ah_M - May 24, 2004 11:19 AM (GMT)
yeah, unofficial remixs always sound like those on TVB variety shows. it's about 7 minutes long and you don't even know what the song is until you're about 3 minutes into it.

Mrs Lai - May 24, 2004 12:15 PM (GMT)
Yeh, talking abt TVB... they do the worse remixes ever! And when they steal the music and change the lyrics... bad bad bad! U guys noticed TVB likes to steal Leon, or should we say Mark songs...?! Always the intro to programs with these corny lyrics.

quadshock - May 25, 2004 02:28 AM (GMT)
what do you mean by steal?

Mrs Lai - May 30, 2004 04:23 AM (GMT)
Take without permission... hehe!

quadshock - May 30, 2004 07:26 AM (GMT)
can't they get sued for that?

Ah_M - June 1, 2004 11:19 AM (GMT)
of course they have permission la, only mainland china 'steals'...mark won't complain, he gets plenty of royalties from them :D

ooh there was that one miss hk where they changed the lyrics to sugar in the marmalade and eric tsang, ah lek and that funny guy with those black glasses performed it on stage *shudder*

GaV - June 2, 2004 09:23 AM (GMT)
HAH! any clips of that available?
would be so funny
bet the lyrics were cheeesy as

Ah_M - June 3, 2004 04:01 PM (GMT)
you betcha, they changed the sugar in the marmalde too and squeezed lots of chinese words into it and just sounded strange...it's best you don't see it - save your eyes and ears!
