so far, most of the modern stuff has been following the US like most of the world. Do you think China will ever come up with something completely different?

lol almost every hong kong musician copies america to some extent

DBF is an underground artist...called "dai fei". which is why DBF is "davy big fly". his real name is Davy Chan though. Have you heard of Davy Chan?

he used to be part of the REALLY GOOD rock band called Anodize, and Anodize merged with a few other bands to form LMF. Davy was the composer of the biggest LMF song (for mainstream audiences) "dai lan tong" and he himself was the producer of all the albums LMF came out with. And the production quality of LMF was really high, so i am quite impressed.

Recently he came out with a solo album called "Unbreakable" (available on Yesasia), which is getting great reviews =)
