I'm the newest member here. I've been a fan of Leon since he entered the singing contest back in the 80's (not sure which year exactly, it's been so long).... I recently found this site, and I'm very happy to be one of the members. The first thing about Leon that attracted me the most was his deep voice and the emotions he expressed during his performances. I instantly felt in love with him... :wub: Well... I was quite young then too.... Anyhow, to this date, I have not heard any other Chinese male singer who could top Leon's melodic deep vocal chords. My all time favorite Leon song is 'One Night Love'.... and my favorite movie would be 'Eighteen Springs'.......
I'm very delighted to be a part of this fans forum. :)

Welcome to the forum Maggie...wow you liked him from the contest in 1986, you can spot talent very well, must be Leon's fan for the longest :D

Was it 1986??? (gee...do I feel old now) Yeah, I remember the day when I purchased his first CD. I was so excited... (listened to it day and night) All happy..... ^_^ :)

but his voice now definately sounds better and suits his songs~
his older voice was different and unique tho~

Yes, I did noticed his voice isn't as deep as it used to be, but he still sounds good though.... On top of that, he's such a kind-hearted person, very articulate (though very very deep).... which makes him even more attractive.....

his deep voice was the main thing that attracted so many females! it was super deep in the 1991 closer to you album, it's strange that you still get people saying his singing hasn't improved :rolleyes:

yes..i agree his voice is not the same but it still sounds great and suits his songs.. :D
