Title: What is the most memorable kissing scene of Leon's

Sandra - August 2, 2003 11:37 PM (GMT)
This might be a more grown up topic, so be warned before you proceed.

Which is the most memorable kissing scene you choose out of all of Leon's movies ?

I haven't seen any of his TVB series so I could not tell if he was good back then but I like his current movies kissing scenes a lot.

He is way superior to Tony Leung, my other favorite actor, in terms of acting.
There is actually a downloadable kissing video of Tony Leung now over at tonyleung.org if you are interested to compare the two.

But I could not help relishing the scene in Comrades, Almost a Love Story where he and Maggie Cheung connect while he tries to button and unbutton his jacket on her.

The backlight on Shu Qi's hair is ravishing as they passionately kissed the first time in the City of Glass and you could see feel his desire unleashed.

And more rambunctiously, Sammi Cheng and him tossing around in his bedroom in Killing Me Tenderly knocking paintings down, crashing into the closet and sweeping books and fruits onto the floor translates their playful passion perfectly.

I think Leon has very good directors or perhaps, if he has input into the production, that he surely knows how to portray himself in the best light.

What is your favorite ?

My favourite are Killing Me Tenderley and Comrades Almost A Love Story but it's really the build-up to them that I like most. Both start with two friends not having the next step in mind (even though they're practically interlocking!) then just one look into each other's eyes and it happens. Another build-up I like is the scene in City of Glass when the characters are in their 40's; that look in Leon's eyes and the gentle touch of Shu Kei's face before they share the kiss that they've been waiting for all these years finally happens is another heart-melting moment for me!
The one that left me pretty speechless was Bullets of Love, that was very ... but you get to see his nice smooth back so who's complaining? :P Speaking of this film, if you were the character "You", would you have fallen in love with Sam? I know that she'd already had a huge crush on him beforehand but from when they met until that night, not much happened which would've made me get into bed with him that quickly! Probably even regret having the plastic surgery done to be honest :P

From all the movies I have seen so far, somehow, I think even if Leon knows I have a crush on him, which I do and I would if I were You, he would not return the love so easily (especially if he knew I were You and have killed his girlfriend). He seems to want to project the image of a person who is faithful to his true love in many of his movies. That he is the slow burning type. So he keeps the admirers at a distance most of the time until he is ready.

Hello, everyone~!

I don't show up in the forum often. However, this topic is really interesting and brought back some of memories. So I would like to share some of my memorable scenes of Leon's.

Have you guys ever watched an old TVB drama, called "Go back to the times when I was not married" (‰ñ“ž–¢‰ÅŽž), starring Leon and Zhou Hai Mei (ŽüŠC›Z) before Leon is so popular??

There is one scene that Zhou Hai Mei is drunk and Leon accompanies her to the dock. Zhou Hai Mei was playing with Leon's face by patting and squeezing Leon's face. Since the distance between them is so close, suddenly Leon approaches Zhou's lips so fast and kissed her passionately. :o When I first watched that scene long time ago (I wasn't a Leon's fan by then), I was shocked by Leon's action. It's so fast, impulsive, and very romantic and passionate. I was very impressive by the chemistry between Leon and Zhou because of that scene. I remember that scene clearly even till today. :D

Another is the scene in Comrades Almost A Love Story. When Leon got the autograph of Teresa Tang and left the car, Maggie Cheung honks accidentally and Leon turns back. Leon's eyes are full of emotion. And he goes back to kissed Maggie Cheung. That kiss is with bitterness and love. It's a scene with heartache and it lingers....

The kissing scene in the City of Glass when Leon and Shu Qi kissed in the car is also a very memorable scene. :)

Sheepcat, welcome to the forum.

I love your posting. I will go back and look at those scenes again. :D

Too bad I haven't seen the TVB series. Can't even imagine Leon doing that. I thought only Andy Lau does that type of stuff. :P Sigh. I wish I have access to that series.

Thank you, Sandra~ :P
I am happy to be here. ^^

hohoho~ after all, Leon is a Sagittarius. And most of them are fast..... :D

hm.....about that TVB series I mentioned, I think TVB hasn't released that one yet.
Maybe you can find it in some video renting stores in China Town. Or if you are going to Taiwan, Hong Kong or China, I think some of the stores sell it. You just have to spend some time and see if there is such a series....^^""

Sandra, see if the links on this page are working, you should find the scene on here: http://invisionfree.com/forums/Worldwide_L...p?showtopic=135
there is another scene in 'the breaking point' where leon just looks really deep into kathy's eyes then gives a very quick kiss on the lips, that look would've definitely melt you!

personally i dont usually take notice of Leon's mouthsize when he's in a kissing scene :P

Sandra - November 26, 2003 09:07 PM (GMT)
Cute, cute, cute.

I think I like his Comrades, the best.

Ah_M - November 30, 2003 08:03 PM (GMT)
Thought actors never use their tongues? Heard that somewhere ages ago, actress might slap them or sth lol, I dunno...

And there's the one in Sword of Many Lovers, another jaw-dropping moment

Everyday Is Valentine was quite sweet (last scene)

You think we should copy the Tony Leung site and make a video out of all these scenes or would that just be too horny?

GaV - December 1, 2003 08:07 AM (GMT)
haha that'll be funny!
give it a try!

lol Just watch Jacky Cheung kissing in "True Love" or "Curry & Pepper" and you will see that actors do use their tongues... Or at least Jacky does! hehe

I haven't had the opportunity to see too many of Leon's movies yet (more's the pity). But out of the ones I have seen I'd have to say I like the kissing scene in Killing Me Tenderly. That scene was cute.

Ah_M - January 14, 2004 12:27 PM (GMT)
Hi Caidanbi, think I seen you at the Tony Leung forum before or at least your name's familiar :)
Shame Jacky doesn't do more films these days, he's really good imo, but I respect how he puts his family before work.
Killing Me Tenderley scene is quite popular then ;)

Caidanbi - January 14, 2004 04:51 PM (GMT)
Hi Ah M,
Yeah, I am a member on the Tony forum too ^_^ Actually I joined this forum a while ago, and I read the posts every week or so, but recently I have been to busy to post much of anything myself- here and in the Tony forum! Darned homework :P lol

I wish Jacky would do more films too, I really enjoy his acting, but I totally understand the reason he doesn't -- And I respect and admire him all the more because of it.

don't forget exams! so you're a student? are you chinese? where are you from?
sounds like you're fairly unfamiliar with Leon, which of his movies have you seen?
(sorry for dropping so many questions at once :D)

Caidanbi - January 16, 2004 04:00 PM (GMT)
hehe That's ok :)

Yes, I am a student, but I'm not Chinese, I'm American. I'm in my 3rd year of college, my major is Chinese language.

I really haven't seen very many of Leon's movies :( I definitely want to see more, it's just that there is no way to rent his movies here, I have to actually purchase them online. So far I've seen "Killing Me Tenderly" and "Dream of a Warrior". I first saw him in "City Hunter", and I thought he was sooooooooo handsome! hehe So then I wanted to see more. I like some of his music too ^_^
