Title: Who listens to Jordan Chan here ?
Sandra - July 29, 2003 05:02 PM (GMT)
I would like to know there are two albums in Yesasia by Jordan Chan and it has his selections of R & B. My question is , did he sing in any of these songs or are they purely foreign artists singing. In disc 2 of Vol 1, I thought I heard his voice but I cannot be sure.
Which is his own R & B album where he sings R & B in Chinese ?
cheesegirl - August 3, 2003 02:36 PM (GMT)
May I have his whole name??
quadshock - August 5, 2003 04:46 AM (GMT)
jordan chan siu chun
his last cd was pretty good...sounds nice. especially that 'god save the king' song...no idea why it's named that though
Sandra - August 17, 2003 03:30 AM (GMT)
I am enjoying Jordan Chan's "Sut Luen Wong" Lost love king very much these days.
The other one is "Embarassed" and can be found on the www.100mtv.com. It is also very fun to watch.
http://www.100mtv.com/Singer.asp?id=328I heard from my sister in law through my mom that Jordan Chan is gay. (My phone lines have been busy with HK popstar gossips these days.)
But in any case, he is a great comedian.
Sandra - September 30, 2003 11:30 PM (GMT)
Have anyone bought Heartless You yet, the new album from Jordan Chan?
I love his track no. 1 and 10. But the rest were a bit too western. It doesn't have the Cantonese flavor as his last two albums. Sigh.
quadshock - October 1, 2003 12:05 AM (GMT)
i've heard his cd...testhearing to make sure it's worth buying. but yeah, i agree, it didn't have that 'style' from before, so i ended up not buying it. i liked the song that david tao wrote for him, but the other stuff sounds kinda average...
recently all the asian pop i've heard seems to sound similar and blend in. sigh. i guess leon's the only hope :D he's one of hte only pop artists that always brings something new
oh and i relaly like "sut lune wong" also...aren't tehre two versions of it?
Ah_M - October 1, 2003 05:05 PM (GMT)
where did you get it from? heard track 1 sounds like Justin T.'s song so now i'm interested :P
btw, do you like his 'gangsta' image?
Sandra - October 1, 2003 09:56 PM (GMT)
For Lost love king (sut luen wong) , track 4 has a normal soft sounding beginning and track 8 by the same title has a few rap beats and Jordan rapped a couple of lines in it in the beginning and at the end. Precious. Precious. I love his rapping more than Jay Chou's.
The God Save the King album comes in a long sleeve and there are 4 long postcards in there with lyrics at the back. Jordan has white hair in those and they are so Jordan. Quirky, awkward, rough... everything I expected of him. I suppose only a Jordan fan would like these.
But Ah M, if you like Jordan Chan, you would enjoy his little photo booklet inside the Hearless You album.
In the second page, Jordan has his fingers interlaced in front of his face and it mesh graphically with the patten on the knitted white cap he wore. A few pages down, there are black and white photos of him blowing smoke out side profile.
If they could become posters, I would line my walls with these. Very artistically made.
I think BMG does a great job in the photo booklets on their artists. I buy Ekin's stuff as much for these photos as I do for his music.

I found it. I found it : A promotional concert of Heartless You Album by Jordan Chan in Taipei. Its a good 44 mins long and while he may be lip syncing, you could see what he looks like when he sings.
http://www.ch5.tv/channel/media_html/9/media_57349.htmPrecious. This clip ends on 12/31/03. Watch it once at least and enjoy his style. Its refreshing and I believe the title song was on the top of the charts in HK.
At a second venue, the promotional concert is at 55 mins but from 36 mins onwards, its the autograph session.
http://www.ch5.tv/channel/media_html/8/media_57128.htmIn the second clip, David Tao and Jay Chou talk about their compositions for Jordan Chan in this 5 mins clip and at the end, part of a rather funny MTV is shown. This one would be valid till next August.
http://www.ch5.tv/channel/media_html/3/media_56593.htmHave fun.

ooo nice forum. looks kinda like this one. I'm sure one day both of these forums will be huge ^ ^
Sandra - November 5, 2003 05:12 AM (GMT)
Thanks, quadshock. I modelled it after Ah M's site. :D
Keep checking for up dates.
http://s2.invisionfree.com/Jordan_Chan_Siu_Chun/index.phpOne of these days, I hope to organize a Jordan chat.
Ah_M - November 5, 2003 10:42 AM (GMT)
question for you sandra;
put these 3 people in order of preference: jordan, leon, ekin :D
are there not many jordan sites around?
Sandra - November 5, 2003 04:17 PM (GMT)
haha, Ah M, you are asking me a very tough question but I will answer nevertheless
No. 1 Leon because we know each other now
No. 2 Jordan because I am unknown to him still
No. 3 Ekin because he is out of reach
There are a lot of webpages, a couple of Jordan Chan discussion groups in HK like the leon-lai.com which is scarcely visited but nothing like this style. There are 5 yahoo message groups which are not terribly active at yahoo except one from Singapore but the format of message groups is not as elegant as a forum. There are 7-8 China or Chinese sites but the Americans do not have one with indepth articles on him or a brag board as such in English.
Ekin has many good sites and message groups in Chinese and my friend has a great website that you could visit
http://www.cyklin.com/She's American but has learnt Mandarin in order to translate all the news.
She also has a forum similar to this one but that one is by invitation only.
Sandra - November 6, 2003 04:30 PM (GMT)
You forgot to ask me about Jay Chou too. :D
The most requested album in the house now is Jay Chou's Fantasy, followed by Jordan's God Save the King and Heartless You.
If Leon doesn't come up with a new album soon, the younger members of this household may switch allegiance.
Ah_M - November 7, 2003 10:21 AM (GMT)
ooh is that a threat? maybe you should mention that to Leon next time and tell him to hurry up :D
Had no idea you liked Jay too...
quadshock - November 8, 2003 02:00 AM (GMT)
ooo i listen to them too...except for ekin. Jordan's "heartless you" cd was pretty good but i prefer his last cantonese one "heartbroken king" i think...
jay's new cd is very unique. though i find some of it to be a bit unpolished, it's still pretty good
GaV - November 8, 2003 11:36 AM (GMT)
i think out of Jay's new album
i only liked 3-4 songs~ don't think he can make a better album than his first one~
Sandra - November 8, 2003 11:40 PM (GMT)
Yup, Leon knows I like Jordan and Jay's music and he respects my wide range of likes including Ekin.
I bet he turns around and say, "Heartless You." :D

maybe because his stuff was entirely new back then. Now, we know he's good and he doesn't surprise us as much anymore ><
GaV - November 9, 2003 09:23 AM (GMT)
could be~
sure the quality still seems to be there but the creativeness hasnt really expanded much since the first album. The variety is alright, but i think most ppl like his slower songs more than his uptempo ones~
Ah_M - November 12, 2003 11:27 PM (GMT)
sandra, i know you like a lot of people; jet li, andy lau, tony leung...could be here all day listing them!
Sandra - November 13, 2003 05:07 AM (GMT)
Sorry, Ah M, I guess I have way too many interests. When I do my rounds, nevertheless, your site is always the first one. :D
But since I am at it, I am going to mention more on Jordan.
I have put in some English translations of Jordan Chan's songs - the full album of Heartless You, and a couple of God Save the King. More to come.
We have also started a story thread on our multiple idols over there called MISSION IMPOSSIBLE at the storyboard.
To date Chow Yun Fat ( 007 ) has descended from the Guilin mountains to receive orders about his mission, Ekin Cheng ( 006 ) and Jordan Chan ( 005 ) have escaped from the hospital with a cast in one left leg and one right arm, Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Stephen Chow are fretting about their triad boss bringing in a new hitman - Jet Li.
I am trying to find writers for Chow Yun Fat and Jet Li. Perhaps one of you would like to put in Leon Lai as a spy from America or something.
Hope you guys would check it out.

It's great that you admire other artists, you can do lots of comparing then :D but as for me, I've stuck with the same person for so many years so it will take a lot for me to turn my back on him :) (even listening to someone else's CD takes a lot of effort)
Sandra - November 16, 2003 04:53 PM (GMT)
Mission Impossible revealed.
Bad a$$ Jet Li has just kicked Tony Leung Chiu Wai in the face and
almost killed him. 007 Chow Yun Fat has received orders to track
down a mad scientist after meeting his boss and Chen Dao Ming. 006 Ekin Cheng and 005 Jordan Chan received theirs and crossed the Strait of Taiwan to stop a mad politician called Han (played by
Cecilia Cheung).
Come take a look.

Who wants to get up close to Jordan Chan ?
I want to for definite.
If I could get Jordan to go on a webcam and stick a mic in front of him to go on chat with us this summer when I go back to HK, I would be very happy already. I will do simultaneous translation by voice and by typing so all non-Cantonese audience could benefit. I hope to get all Jordan Chan sites worldwide to go on net that day to show Jordan how many fans he has. To date, he has only 200 members in his official fan club called SPRING CLUB worldwide.
I am also seriously thinking of arranging an American or non-HK fan sites tour to HK to spot/have dinner with Ekin Cheng and Jordan Chan and Leon Lai. Leon, I could reach already but the other two, I need to make more contacts.
Anyone interested ?
Ah_M - November 20, 2003 02:49 PM (GMT)
you could seriously arrange that??
Sandra - November 20, 2003 03:31 PM (GMT)
The Leon portion, yes, if he is in town, but not the Jordan and Ekin portion yet.

For those who might like to watch a Jordan Chan commercial where he shows his explosive expressions, a tantalizing smirk, and elegant wire work, and to read about the promotion of the casual wear he is promoting, here it is.
