Title: Crash copter 'had a fault'

LianneLuvsBrian - January 13, 2005 03:26 PM (GMT)
THE helicopter in which a British bride and groom were killed had been grounded days earlier with a mechanical fault, it emerged yesterday.

Michael and Jeanette Gregory died when the chopper crashed in bad weather on the way to their wedding reception on the Costa del Sol.

Tourist Lisa Hickin revealed she had booked a ride on the same helicopter — but it was cancelled because a red warning light was flashing.

Lisa, 34, of Aylesbury, Bucks, said: “The two incidents may have been connected and I’m having nightmares about what might have happened to me.”

She has spoken to crash investigators.

Michael, 37, and Jeanette, 40, were buried in a joint funeral in Oadby, Leics, yesterday.
