I picked this up on a roundabout route jumping from Da Warpath to Asrai.org and then to Warseer, but it looks like it's true: Gav Thorpe is leaving Games Workshop. Certainly spells changes for us humble gamers ...

Anyway, he was always popping up in the GW scene. Hopes this is some rumor, albeit they normally don't get this much attention unless they are true.

Well apparently he's a member of Warseer and one of the Warseer "Inquisitors" (moderators I guess) confirmed it, although there's nothing from Gav himself as far as I can tell.

Damn. Gav was/is a member of The Warhammer Forum, and was one of the few GW staff who was actually willing to post responses on forums. True, he got a lot of flak for some of his stuff, but army book-wise, he did plenty of good stuff as well.

Remind me, which army books did he do again? I remember Dwarfs (good job there) and the revamped Chaos Space Marines (which got a pretty lousy response from Chaos players), but other than that, my memory is foggy at the moment.
