Title: Archaon's Horde Border Patrol List

I've been away for a while, what with moving house, getting a new computer, etc., etc.
I finally managed to get my new modelling desk sorted, and took the spare time I had to finish off my third and final Space Marine Land Raider. Anywho, a local Fantasy Tournament has been called, starting with Border Patrol lists. And I've dug up my dusty Chaos miniatures, me' rulebook and £55 and begun writing out a new list. I've become fond of Marauders... so here goes.
Aspiring Champion of Chaos 109pts
Two Hand Weapons; Chaos Armour; Mark of Chaos Undivided; Helm of Many Eyes; General.
Twenty-five Chaos Marauders 175pts
Great Weapons; Hand Weapons; Free Full Command
Fourteen Marauders 103pts
Great Weapons; Hand Weapons; Musician
Five Marauder Horsemen 113pts
Throwing Axes; Shields; Standard Bearer; Musician
Total = 500pts
I also gain a free Battle Standard Bearer, which is nothing to scoff at.
I'll attach my BSB in the Fourteen Man Unit, whilst my General goes with the large twenty-five unit. I already know I'll be playing Night Goblins, Lizardmen and possibly Wood Elves. But that's roughly the extent of my knowledge.
So, suggestions?

Give him a great weapon instead. The opportunity to always strike first with S7 attacks is too awesome to pass up.
A Marauder-based army seems like a good idea: Marauders, though very cheap, can actually pack quite a punch. I'm not sure about the Horsemen's standard bearer, though: it makes easy victory points for your opponent and it might not be so useful since fast cav should never be sent alone in close combat.
What will your free BSB look like?

Hmmm...
Just standard BSB. Chaos Armour, Hand Wep. I get the chance to get him Magic Banners and such later, but for now, simple. The Model is a Chaos Warrior with bare head, sword stuck into ground, larger than normal banner (from the Orc Boyz set).
The good thing with Marauders is you can get cheap units of 10 men, for 50 points as shields and cannon fodder, or Strength 5-ers. The only problem is, like the entire Chaos Army, no missile fire... :(. I was considering replacing my Champ with a Sorcerer.

I would rather see 4 units (the max ammount of units in border patrol games are invaluable). You could have your main unit 20 strong flanked by 2 units of 10 marauders and then you have the fast cavalry aswell :).

But if I stay with 25 I get free Full Command.
I could drop the Standard on the Horsemen Squad, and the HoME and split the 14 man unit into two, adding 3 men to each... I think. I'm not actually working this out, just guesswork.

Ahh, right, the full command yes. See what you could trade for that extra 10 man regiment. Having lots of regiments, in border patrol, is better than having uber characters.
