Title: It's been a while since our last SCC
Description: Special Character Competition

@ztech - July 27, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
Our last SCC was lost in The Crash, I believe, and I don't remember how long ago it was exactly. But I know that it's been a long time, possibly as much as a year. There isn't much activity in this forum these days, but it would be nice if we had another SCC.

I didn't open this topic to start the 2007 Special Character Competition: I'll let Chili run it if he wants to. This thread has for sole purpose to probe the level of interest.

Do you mean modelling the things, or creating rules for them?

Khrangar - July 31, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
Last time we had one it was both. It was, I believe, primarily about the rules, but it was good to have a model accompanying the entry.

Drauthnir won last time we did it I think.

Do we have to model said Special Character?

Or is it just rules and fluff?

Just the rules and the fluff.

Of course, if you can make a model, it's even cooler. Failing that, you can draw a sketch or, if you're not an artist, find some artwork on the 'Net. Or simply make a very detailed physical description of your character.

Unless Chili or any other mod/admin really wants to run the 2007 Special Character Competition, I'll start it soon.

There seems to be little activity around here right now, but the Palace will probably come back to life in September. No need to rush, I'll leave you two months to submit characters once it's started.

It was usually myself who ran the special character competition, however I will let someone else do it this time.

Oh, sorry Tombguard, for some reason I thought it was Chili who usually ran it.

Not that there is much to 'run'. Opening the topic and setting the rules is all. Since the winner is determined by vote, the one who runs it can also participate.

I'll start it when I get back from camping, possibly Tuesday evening (GMT -5).
