Khrangar - July 22, 2007 09:26 PM (GMT)
Greetings all,

In the fall, my D&D group will begin once again and I have put myself in charge of getting models for the group. in total we have the following characters that I need to buy/convert once I have heard back from the other members.

Human Fighter (me)
Human Binder
Human Wizard
Dwarf Rogue (my gf)
Githzerai Monk

All models will be from Rackham miniatures, http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique_us/l...s&code_lg=lg_us

I have finished my model, the human fighter with spiked chains:

Looks really good :). Has that crusader feel to him.

1) What's a binder?

2) Rackham have miniatures for githzerai? Why has no-one told me this before!

3) Nice job on the fighter. Is he WYSIWYG? A spiked chain is an unusual weapon choice.

1) A binder is someone who communes with spirits and uses pacts to gain powers.

2) I think that this is what I'll be using for the Githzerai Monk. We're not doing a planescape campaign so the monk will have to cover up a fair bit to not be noticed too much.

3) He'll have a spiked chain (my favourite weapon) and probably plate armour. Also, we're starting at lvl 6 so I'll have lots of feats to get!

I've never heard of a binder. What book is it in? Is it a prestige class?

I'd be interested in seeing how you paint that model. It only vaguely looks like a githzerai- closer to a githyanki to me. All flashy, not to mention the sword. Hmm.

I figure it'll be a non-traditional monk outfit, kinda like Thaco from http://goblinscomic.com/comics/20070723c.jpg (goblin in black) but fully clothed to cover the green skin. If I do use that model, I'll get rid of the weaponry and paint the clothes so that they're toned down a bit.

I forget if the Binder is a prestige class but it's in Tome of Magic.
