Title: Gutter Runner Half-Life 2 mod

Behold what I have just found:

Preview 2

From what I can tell, playing as Skaven gives you access to weapons like warp-lightning staves, throwing knives, wristblades and poison wind globes (and a seeming ability to climb walls), while playing as humans gives you swords, throwing knives, handguns and crossbows.

Gentlemen? Discuss.

The links, they do not work.

Fixed.

Yeah, I've seen that somewhere before... got to admire their computer skills, with the Skaven people and the Empire people and the whole Warhammer town they're fighting over. It's like TSB in 3D.

Wouldn't buy a game just to get a mod, though. Don't play computer games that much anyhow.

I used to play video games, but not much anymore: now I'm an Internet guy more than anything else. And I played mostly RPG's (like Morrowind) rather than action games. But I heard Half-Life was pretty good.

Working in a publisher's, writing 'NO' on people's amateurish dreams.

It's strangely enjoyable.

Do you really work in a publisher's?

I'm jealous.

Edit: Congrats for your 4000+ posts, by the way.

It's a children's publishers, and only a temp job. Nothing to be jealous of, really. But aye, I works there and part-time in a children's bookshop. Becoming quite familiar with the world of picture books, I am.

Also, I have developed the skill of not killing the creationist mother caught in the act of indoctrinating her children. I'm quite proud of that one. Although if I see that family again, I have a big pile of books for her excellently enquiring children to look at.

Well, I liked your other sig, the "goodbye Tony" one. And thanks for fixing the links, LoNC. It looks good, but, yeah, I wouldn';t buy the game just for the mod.

Lord of Nonsensical Crap - July 4, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
Yeah, personalyl I wouldn't get a game just for a mod either; I'd get it for the sake of getting (and playing) the game period. That said, seeing this just makes me want Warhammer Online a lot sooner.

LordChilipepa - July 4, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
Yeah, but that was only for the big hand-over. We're in Gordonland now.

I miss Tony

I can't believe noone has half-life 2. I've never played it, and never really got the impression it was that interesting a game, but my brother's really into it. It's also one of those games that plenty of people have but noone buys (if you catch the drift ;) ).

Also, if you have a graphics card from the ATI brand, you can get a free copy of Half-Life 2 from the ati website. I wouldn't know this, except for recently uninstalling my graphics card drivers and not being able to find new ones.

I've played it myself, and it's actually quite good: the graphics are amazing, the storyline is very compelling, and there are many instances where you have to rely on your brains instead of your guns. It's not your standard shoot-em-up: you actually have to solve lots of puzzles in order to proceed.

I have Half life 2 and itīs a great game. Very nice graphics, although I played counter-strike mostly  .
