It's the same unit, right? Just placed differently...
Pretty good. You give yourself more trouble than I would for basic Empire troopers.

Yeah, that's good work. I honestly wouldn't be bothered to paint basic troops with such detail.

I would paint basic troopers with that kinda detail (will post pics of my O&G when I take some pics) and I really like those. Well painted! :)

Really good job. I think you are kind of like me, in that you give every model you have, a high level of attention. Unfortunetly for me, your attention goes farther then mine does.

For me, the best part of the miniatures are the faces- you really helped drive the expressions on their faces with the clean paint job you accomplished, and the well done job on the eyes.
A few areas where I see possibility for improvement:
- While you did a nice job with the reds and blues of the unit, the more natural tones such as the brown to bleached bone look very sloppy in comparison. Work on getting a nice smooth transition in these colors (my main areas I see possibility for improvment is the skull boss on the shield, and the piece of parchment attached to another shield).
- The lion boss on the shields o some of the swordsmen just seems... flat to me. The other areas of the models seem nicely highlighted, and these areas seem to lack the same amount of depth... with the lion head being such a focal point due to it's unique color and the facts it's right out in front of you, I would suggest adding a bit more variation in the highlighting for this part... maybe start with a darker brown or something- I'm not too experienced with using yellow, in honesty.
- I can see a mold line on the helmet of one of the swordsmen. It really is a shame to see, given the standard of painting.
Don't feel like I'm trying to say these are bad models- they're extremely well painted. Just thought I would give you a few criticisms to help you along in your improvement of painting. Hope this helps.

Well, the pics are a little blurry but from what I can make out the painting quality looks good. Keep up the good work.

Looks good, but how are those big bases going to work game-wise?

its a unit filler ;)
here is the drunken halbreider :D
Rogue-Gladiator - June 7, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
add a bit of red to his nose and cheeks to make him look druken (mix the red in with the flesh color, of course).
Also, why does a halbredier have a pistol?

What is there in Altdorf?
Since it's in the Empire, just grass would be appropriate, though some will say it lacks originality. If your swordsmen are city defenders, cobblestone would look nice, but you'd need some terrain elements (like Imperial buildings) to fit with those bases.

the capital in the Empire ;)
Burro Boskov - June 29, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
I know there is the Altdorf Zoo, a funny army would be the zoo keepers. Several could be missing limbs, and they would all be wearing silly uniforms with name tags.
Anyway, to the subject at hand, Cobblestones would be cool.

Not bad, but the way the flagellants hold the torches is weird. The torches were meant to be held vertically, and it's kind of strange to see fire that doesn't go upwards.
About the one with the hammer: you should at least remove the cobweb-like string of dried glue.
