Title: WIP Submission for the Mini Exchange
Description: Witch Hunter!
Scaly - March 25, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
Well I did my first bit of work of conversion on my submission for the mini exchange and I decided to keep a photo journal of how my hopefully very awesome witch hunter was made. Today was all about finding the right base model for my conversion I finally was able to hack enough models up to create the basis for greenstuffing and such.
Most of all I hope the person I am making this for, Khrangar, enjoys seeing his miniature come to life.
With out further ado:
Work in Progress Day 1My conceptHope you all enjoy.

Oooo... spiffy concept. I'm gonna enjoy watching this guy's evolution.
A question arises from the other thread; should I need to, can I devour the miniature for nourishment?
All joking aside, I have some real questions; I just need a few details about your army Scaly so I can uniform this guy in to it properly. Mainly, your primary colour and the style of your bases.

Luc, what race character model do you want, give me your army 'colours', 'heraldry' and style of 'bases'.

I'd like to leave it up to you which you would rather paint, so I'll give both.
For my Dark Elves... skin is done in tones of dark grey through black, hair is pure white unless coloured artificially. Every model has a bit of blood red on it somewhere to uniform the army, half the army has some regal blue to signify allegiance to the lord-general, the others have dark green to show their loyalty to the sorceress. Bases are a cold, lifeless grey or snowy white.
For my Bretonnians... anything goes really, my knights don't share colour patterns except with their family members, the only place I show that they are all the same army is in their banners, where I place the red-and-blue quartered field of the Arkhames. Bases are green with varying levels of vegetation and the occasional rock.

Cork Rock Bases
A guides I use is found here:
My RedBasing Cork (though I don't stack them as high as in the article. I haven't decided if I will do snow or static grass.)

I concur with Luc, it does look spiffy, and should fit in nicely with the rest of my army.
On a note as to RGs mini I'm doing, I went to the mall yesterday with the intent to go to GW, but the power went out at the mall and the store closed.
I'll have to wait to go get it later, possibly the weekend.

Hi Luc, I've looked at the models on Games Workshop online, I'm happy to do either
a; the Dark Elf Sorceress model
b; a Brettonian Duke, or
c; a Grail Knight.
You choose, and I'll order it.
Burp!

A sorceress, if you would be so kind.
Scaly - March 26, 2007 12:05 PM (GMT)
Wow that looks awesome is that a 4th or 5th edition dwarf?
Luc_Arkhame - March 26, 2007 02:52 PM (GMT)
None of the above, it's an old Reaper.
Can't remember how or why I acquired it, but it seemed like an appropriately dramatic piece to use.
