Description: Getting back into the game

Hello!

I'm new to this forum, but i've played Warhammer for years. Or truth be told i'm getting back into it. I have plans to raise my TK legion back from the dead, but there are very few here who play anymore...

How do i get people to play?

Also, any tips on the TK would be welcome...

Welcome. We're always glad to have new users around here, though a lot of them tend to quit after a little while. This board is a small but tightly-knit community, but new users only see the "small" and not the "tightly-knit", so they get bored.

Getting people to play is not easy... I haven't played a single game since last summer, because I don't get to meet my Warhammer-playing friends often. But I've learned that Warhammer players are more numerous than it seems. They're just very discreet, either because they don't want to look geeky or because they think they're the only ones in a radius of ten kilometers who play that game.

Someday we should organize a gathering of Geek Pride, a gathering where people would not be ashamed to say that they can speak Klingon, that they often play D&D and that they spend $200 per year for their Warhammer army.

HAHAHA @ztech speaks Klingon WOT A NERD!!!1!11one!eleven!

*ahem* sorry. That is an example of behaviour not so welcomed here. Nice to see you, TheGreatB. Small but tightly-knit sums us up pretty well, I'd say. Especially that jumper I got off @ztech ... small and tightly-knit.

Welcome to forum. Wherever your nearest shop is, that sells Warhammer models, is the best place to start. If there is a shop near you, then people are purchasing the goods... so lurk around and stalk some one! hehe... Fluttering eyelids does'nt always work but present yourself as being uncannily lucky with dice rolls as well as being a great dude... you'll be ok

maybe :o)

Hey B! (hope I can call you that? :))

Always nice to see new member around here. Most have been said by the other member. I´m one of the vet´s so I´ve been around for quite some time. Here you will always get help from somebody :).

Where I live the local independent stockist actually took initiative and started a gaming club and one is suprised how many play the game. In the beginning we had something like 60-70 members and that made us the biggest gaming club in Sweden, but most of them have dropped off and now we are a pretty small but hardcore group left. Although the intrest in fantasy has lessened the last few weeks, we plan on countering that by throwing a local campaign. If that wont work they will surely be back for the big worldwide campaign GW is arranging :).

Welcome to the Palace! :)
