A reliable source confirmed that for the 30th anniversary of the White Dwarf magazine they are releasing a limited edition White Dwarf with Gotrek and Bugman/Felix as shield bearers (rumors as to whether it's Bugman or Felix). Personally I doubt a mere human could lift a dwarf aloft! If anyone could pick me up on in the U.K. I'd be their very good friend!

The White Dwarf figure should retain at around £15. It includes Gotrek and Bugman as shield bearers. It is limited for the weekend (any other limitations will be based on the stock levels available at each store).
The Event is White Dwarf XXX (that's 30 to all you non-Roman types out there).
Any free stuff/give aways/cake etc will be down to your local GW store. Some may have a sales based criteria, others may just give you stuff for walking in. Most will probably pick a sensible ground between those extremes.
I believe it is a UK specific event at this time as White Dwarf has only been available in the UK for 30 years. Other territories are less. I do not know if GW plan on making the figure available outside the UK. |

This guy is extremely high up in GW and has yet to be wrong on any rumors he stated as factual. This is as close to confirmation as you're gonna get barring a picture.

Grombrindal, the White Dwarf of the White Dwarf magazines. He has a little editorial near the front every issue, at least in the uk ones he does.

I belive there was a rule set that came out for him in a special White Dwarf in USA I think. A special character kind of deal. This new incarnation as far as I can tell doesn't have any new rules.
Fluff wise, I have no clue. I haven't done any reasearch into it.

I admit, it does look a bit more, jolly then usuall. But i have to say that the newer models certainly have a more cartoon effect on me, or rather they have made parts of the models larger for more detail to be put in.
Anyone else have that feeling?

The White dwarf got rules in the fifth edition of the game. Issue 200 if I can recall it right? A long long time ago when I first started actually. That issue of white dwarf was one of the first ones I bought :) . They even had a battle report featuring the white dwarf, it was dwarfs vs chaos dwarfs and he had a side objective to sink an artefact or something in lava in order to be able to kill the chaos dwarf sorcerer. He was pretty hardcore rulewise as far as I remember :D .
