Title: Map of Palace Members
Description: To get a possible game going!

Brom Thorbinsson - January 30, 2007 10:29 PM (GMT)
Put your pin in the map!

Pin this please if it becomes useful/popular

@ztech - January 30, 2007 11:52 PM (GMT)
Dammit, I don't have Flash Player 8.

Anyway, thinking of playing a game between us is a bit of an utopia, in my opinion. I like everyone here at the Palace, but I'm not going to take a plane to England just to play a game or two with Chili, Benedictus and the others. The only one here who is from my country is Luc, and he's already much too far. Sorry, that's unrealistic. For me, at any rate.

Brom Thorbinsson - January 31, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
You would be surprised I have played a game at with a bugman's brewery member (they have had this system for a long time). Even if it never matriculates into a game its cool to see how international this forum is.

Tyrion - January 31, 2007 11:53 AM (GMT)
That was a cool little map. Fun to see where everybody is on the world map ^_^ .

Thragka - January 31, 2007 02:48 PM (GMT)
Interesting - but I agree with @ztech. You're right, Brom. I would be surprised if it lead to much for me.

Lies and chicanery, I can think of at least two other Canadians besides you and I who visit the site regularly. And then there are several inactives that I'm sure I could get a hold of.

That doesn't help you though, since they live even further from you than I do...

Vriishnak and myself, right?

Hmm, I never knew that Tyrion was Swedish. I pretty much guessed that Thragka was Irish, though (his avatar was a dead giveaway). If I remember correctly, Spire and Reformer are British (I think Spire is Welsh, specifically), and Swordsalot is Australian, right?

KingTut - January 31, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
im pretty sure burro doesnt live in norway

I must shamefacedly admit that I forgot about you LoNC...

Don't feel bad though, I forget my phone number half the time.

I was referring to Vriishnak and Khrangar; as well as to the inactive persons Drauthnir, Paco, KaelTheFurious and Kih-Ti, who I could find simply by picking up the phone.

Assuming I could find a phonebook.

Thragka - January 31, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
Burro comes from all over the place. He probably just clicked somewhere on the map that looked good.

Ha, see, that's what I want you to think. 'Cos I'm actually a contract killer. :ph43r:

I had absolutely no idea that you were Canadian, LoNC. You think you know somebody, and it turns out that they were Canadian all along. I mean ... Canadian!

<runs away>

Burro Boskov - January 31, 2007 08:05 PM (GMT)
Yeah i dont know how i got to Normay, but hopefully this time i will stay in cairo.

And although thragka is correct in saying im from most places on the earth, i wouldnt just pick one at random where im definetly not from.

Burro Boskov

Please make sure your user name is on your pin I made this map easy to post on unfortunately there are people not leaving their names attached to their pin. To clean up the map I plan on removing those pin with no names attached.

HARHARHARHAAAAAR! Gettim' lads! That will teach that Irish ponce what we think of him!

Hey wait a minute... (remembers he is a fifth Irish)

(Runs away)

Swordsalot - February 1, 2007 10:02 AM (GMT)
wow, me and Wilko look really close on that map.

And stop poisoning my water :P

One fifth? Seems a little of a strange proportion. How come?

Luc_Arkhame - February 1, 2007 09:39 PM (GMT)
Strange?

Try impossible; all fractions involved in describing ones genealogy would have to be expressable with a denominator of 2^n.

Unless one of the parents is a Komodo dragon: it was recently discovered that they could reproduce via parthenogenesis.

*slaps himself*

Could someone pin the map for me, please? I can't.

I live in Sherbrooke, Québec. It's a little to the west of the Maine, to the south of St. Lawrence River and to the east of Montreal. Thanks.

(Scratches head in confusion)

This is why I always hated biology.

Luc_Arkhame - February 1, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
Except that chromosomes still come in pairs (ignoring mutations which affect this discussion in no way), and you still need two sets of code, even if they are the same two. The denominator will always be expressable as 2^n.

Anywho, lets move away from tangeants.

Vriishnak the Twisted - February 2, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
There y'go guys, I added myself to your fancy little map. Now you can all goggle at the glory of my unicycle-riding snowman picture. It rolled down the street in front of me the other day, I swear!
