Title: Redoig my Chaos Lord
Description: Base model needed

Greetings all,

In the new year I am hoping to do several things; finish my Sons of Guilliman Space Marines, finish my Witch Hunters Empire army, and redo my Hordes of Chaos army.

As such, I am looking to revamp my current Chaos list and make new models for my Heroes. I am looking to make a huge Chaos Lord, I mean a beast of a man that stands a good head taller than the others.

I wish to base my Lord of this piece of artwork:

I like the idea of the huge Champion of the Gods striding into battle but there are a few things I want to change. I want to make him bare chested, so that his arms and lower half are armoured, but his torso is not. He'll have a helmeted head with 2 great horns coming out of it.

I need a model of some sort that I can base this off of. If you have any suggestions for a suitable model, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Mmmh... If you're REALLY good at conversions, you could work around this model, this one, a Marauder or maybe even a Beastman. But unless you're a real expert, I see no other solution but green stuff. And if you want to hide a Chaos armor under green stuff, that means a grotesquely huge belly.

Yo could use a Bloodletter or an Ogre?

I've been thinking about using one of these 2 models:

They are both bare chested, which is what I want. I just need to change the arms to something more appropriate for a hand weapon and shield.

They're all pretty cool, but the upper one is really awesome. I love the bits of horn that stick out of his flesh. Just don't paint his skin gray, unless your Lord is a follower of Nurgle.

About what size are they?

They are roughly the same size as GW minis, I think they're 30mm scale. I need to find different arms for him so that he's got a hand weapon and shield instead of the great weapon.

I'd use the top one as well, myself. They are very fine miniatures, even if they are somewhat in a larger scale than warhammer- which is okay, given that he is supposed to be somewhat larger than life.

For arms you may have to rely on Green Stuff (which I recall you being somewhat talented at), as there will be few, if any, GW arms to scale onto such a huge beast of a man.
