Description: What can we put in it?
Tombguard321 - March 14, 2006 11:29 PM (GMT)
This is open to the summer edition of the Palace Herald voice your opinions and what articles you would like to see.

OK Well... de ja vu?
The new Wood Elves need reviewing.
So too the Ogres
Battle Reports
I like seeing other peoples armies; photos of
If Xarhain does a review of my Oak of Ages (and other shrubberies) that'd be cool, and I could do some sort article about how I made it all, mouldings and stuff.
Xarhain - March 15, 2006 12:38 AM (GMT)
Yeah, good stuff.
Reviewing the wood elves is something I'd be interested in, but not having played them at a large points value yet, I'd probably be more keen to do a kind of experiences/lure of the gods type thing, talking about my army at different points levels. 500pts at first, writing about a few battles, how they went, then growing, adding stuff that I feel I lack from the battles.
A big collaboration on Burps stuff would be really cool. An article from him about making/casting/moulds etc. then some from us testers about painting etc. :)

I've not played any large battles with my girlfriend's wood elves either, I'm afraid. When Burp's shrubberies get here we'll review them and he can add that to his article if he likes.
I can probably do a 'how to make a plastic halfling in three easy steps' article or something, but I don't have a digital camera.
Khrangar - March 15, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
I can get some pics of mine and my girlfriend's armies. I can also go about how I converted my Empire army and whatnot. Maybe a small battle report between WEs and Empire or something, a 500pt game I think is all she can muster atm.
There'd be 2-3 armies photographed in total, depending on whether or not we want to include 40k or just leave it as WHFB.

You can't imagine how much I envy you...
1. You have a girlfriend.
2. Your girlfriend plays Warhammer too.
If I had a soul, I'd be willing to give it to trade places with you.

Dude, he's not the only one- both my current gf and my ex-wife play warhammer. Just gotta get out more, man.
If I can get a digitial camera, I'd be happy to take photos of my own army, actually. There are a few conversions in there that I like and I've very proud of my halfling regiments.
And I can probably get Tam to write (or I can co-write) an article on how she's painting her rainforest-themed wood elves, along with photos (if we can get a camera, dangit!). If/when she starts working on her scratch-built treeman, that can become an article as well.

Heh, yeah; my girlfriend doesn't play any wargames at the moment, but she runs both DnD and the Stargate RPG for her friends, and owns a number of models for that gaming that she painted and everything herself.
Hopefully just a matter of time before I can get her to pick up a force to get in some games across the table from me. :D

But we don't see any girls around here... Is there currently or was there ever an active girl poster in the Warhammer Palace? I had always thought that at least 95% of the Warhammer players were guys.

WHAT?!
 I'm surprised... I must admit that I automatically supposed that we were all guys, without any proof, just because most Warhammer players and most people in my forums are guys.
Let's get back to our topic...

Lol!!! dont trust him... he's an Ogre loving goblin fiend... he's just trying to ensnare you ;)
My ex-girlfriend Jenny, used to play too, 5th edition, she had a 2000pt undead army, had a thing about skeletons, she now actually works as an archaeologist and digs up skellies for real!... be careful of taking your hobbies too far.
Its a shame, but I reckon about 98% of players are male.
Vriishnak the Twisted - March 17, 2006 12:28 AM (GMT)
I know we've had a couple o' gals over at the Daemonic Legion, too. They're definitely around, but also less common than the guys. Unfortunate, really.
Tombguard321 - March 21, 2006 02:56 PM (GMT)
have i got any volunteers for Editor I will need two people.
Burp Foulbreath - March 22, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
OK
I'll volunteer to be Co-Editor but I have no experience in creating pages in pdf format and dont have a lot of spare time, but if its only twice a year (Summer Winter) then I can help organise and edit stuff
... if things can be done in Microsoft Word or Publisher, then cut and pasted into pdf, then I can do that kind of thing.
Swordsalot - March 22, 2006 03:15 AM (GMT)
AFAIK, .pdf files are created directly from word .doc files: so you'd feed a .doc into an online .pdf maker and it would be mailed back as a pdf.
