Title: Ogres and the Virtue of heroism
Description: What are ogres classified as?

Demagogue16 - March 8, 2006 07:49 PM (GMT)
I was reading the Bretonnia codex and of course got excited when I saw the virtue of heroism, but I was wondering, the description says killing blow on large targets. What are Ogres? In their codex it does not say they are large targets so are they in some weird grey area between man-sized and large target?

Ogres are not large targets and so are not affect by the virtue of heroism. It's that simple.

BTW, there isn't any need for you to post this in both the Brettonian and Ogre Kingdoms sections. Once will suffice.

Ogres aren't large targets, sorry. It's only Giants, Shaggoths etc.

Welcome to the site. :thumb:

My Mod powers strike again, the two topics have been merged.

Welcome to the site, but please avoid double posting in the future Demagogue.

That was weird . . .I click on the topic in the OK, and it instantly says "thank you, this topic has been moved." Truly an odd experience.

Yea, sorry about posting twice, I was hoping to get a quick answer and didn't know which side would know, so I apologize. And I know I asked the question, but I was thinking about it, if the guy can cut off a dragons head, why couldn't he do it to smaller things as well? Or is that not how it works, I'm semi-new to Warhammer and I don't know how stingy you're supposed to be on rules.

For the Virtue of Heroism, the target has to have Large Target in it's rules in order to be affected.

Why doesn't it work on smaller targets? Fluff stuff mostly, against impossible odds (ie. one guy versus dragon) a hero's strength appears and he makes the one strike that fells the beast.

Against Ogres, he just fights with all his skill, but he is not inspired.

It must be a great deal of fun to kill a 600-pts Greater Daemon with a Paladin that costs less than a quarter of that cost. But of course, you still need to be lucky...

Rats, well thank you all for the clarification.
