So i finished collecting my necron army for 40k came across a bunch of christmas money and decided to start up an empire army...my next fav army following the elves...

but i didnt want another empire gunline so I have developed this list based around a crusader theme...but it lacks firepower (one of the empire's main strengths) so my question is will it hold its own in a tournament setting or do i need to scrap the list in favor of something more powerful.

Looks good, its unusual to see ampire lists with hardly any shooting at all.

Id like to see the other swordsman unit have a detachment or two too, they are so useful. To get the points you could leave out a few flaggellants, 12 should be enough, and maybe reduce the detachments to 8, though panic is a bigger issue then.

It would be nice for the Captain to carry the enchanted shield for only 8 points more.

And if you could fit in a champion with your knights it wouldnt hurt.

As you are relying on infantry you must use the Emires only advantage in close combat, detachments. As you have a basiclly slow army with only one mounted unit you are going to take alot of fire before you get tot he enemy so larger units are best.

I'd drop the flaggies to do this as they have no armour save and will be shoot to pieces and generally greatswords and flaggies are both good at holding down enemy units until the support arrives, but the GS get detachements.

What does the Armor of Meteoric Iron do? I see it in every single Empire list, so it must be good...

AOMI provides 1+ armour save, but it can't be improved by anything.
