Title: 2k list-rate, advice
Description: first attempt both in Chaos and WF

Praetor - December 11, 2005 11:45 PM (GMT)
This is my first thoughts on my chaos list.

2 Heroes:

1 Exalted Champion+GW+Helm of Many Eyes+Shield+Barbed Steed= 147 (General) (he will join the Undivided Knights)
1 Exalted Champion+Mark of Khorne+Sword of Battle+Enchanted Shield+Steed=186 (he will join the Khorne Knights)

Core:

-5 Chosen Knights of Khorne+Full Command (except champion)+Banner of Rage=350
-5 Knights Undivided+Full Command (except champion)+Warbanner= 220
-12x3 Chaos Warriors (HW and shields)+Musician & Standard Bearer= 594
-4 Nurgling Bases=160

This leaves me with 343 A.P.. And my choices are something between 2 Chariots plus something cheap (maybe a Spawn of Khorne or Warhounds and a mark maybe), some Flying Units or a Hellcannon and warhounds of chaos (since I do not have a mage). What do you advice? Are a non mage army viable? 12 Warriors are a goog numbers or do I need more?
Also I do not want to use marauders (my theme is a heavy amoured army).
Do I need another character?
also do not hesitate to fully revise my list, but always considering a heavy armoured background with some nasty knight characters. :D

So any opinions at all?

Again, your list suffers from traditional chaos army failings- you have no flexibilty what so ever.

Bin the warriors, replace with herds.
Bin the normal knights, I dont rate them, and personnally I would drop the MoK from the chosen- to many points to be led around when you have no hounds to stop it.

Get some furies, some magic defence and some flexibilty.

yeah, 350 points for 5 knights itīs hideously expensive :ph43r: also you have one part infantry and one part cavalry. you need to capitalise on one or the other. otherwise you will end up having the knights at the front facing the whole opposing army as your footsloggers run over the field.

I also strongly recommend beastherds, they are fast and inexpensive. dont think that you need any more characters, tho your magic defence is pretty light I must say.

oh, and furies and/or screamers would be good also ;)

What's the Helm of Many Eyes? Everyone seems to take it, so I suppose it's good.

Strike first, but stupid (even if immune to psychology)

A favourite of undivided characters, and khornate ones (if they are being rules lawyerish)
