Title: Thunderer Question
Funky the Elf - November 4, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
Thunderers get a +1 bonus when they fire at short distance. If they stand and shoot as a charge reaction, does the bonus still apply, nullifying the -1 penalty from shooting at the chargers?

well they get the +1 bonus to hit but also get the -1 penalty for shooting at charging enemies so that would mean +-0 :) this provided that the chargers begin their charge move at close range for the thunderers.
I belive itīs like that, not sure tho B)

im not sure on dwarf thunderes myself but i believe when you are charged the minus one for long range is ignored so i believe the +1 to hit may be aswell, but i would still let it go, as they are so "expertly crafted weapons."

To my knowledge, they don't get the +1 for short range, but do receive -1 for standing and shooting. A point worth mentioning is that they always count as being in range for a stand and shoot reaction. For me, there is nothing more annoying than a guy who asks me: ' Are you in range to stand and shoot with your throwing stars?'

but then you say omid, move towards me so you are 6inches away and i will throw many shiny stars at your charging units eyes :fight:
still i reckon this may get cleared up with the new dwarfs coming out, plus many other dwarfy questions which need answering.
