Title: Borgh Armbreaker Insane Incursion
Description: 2000 toruney list

Borgh Armbreaker - September 30, 2005 09:19 AM (GMT)
I there you guys, i'm about to get into a tourney and made a Ogres list and would appreciate some advices. I'm not trying to win the tourney, just the best painting army (but sadly ain't got no pictures to show you...). Regardless of that i didn't wanted to make such a bad appearance so would like you guys to give me some feadback in how to deal with possible armys with the list i'm presenting you (ain't gonna change nothing in the army cause that's what i've got painted, sadly me!!!). So here's the fluff and thanks in advance:

Borgh Armbreaker Insane Incursion

Hard times upon the lands of Lustria:

Today is a certain day (i can’t remember cause my head is about to explode…), and thru all the time we’ve spent in this lands many difficulties we’ve faced (long live the great maw)! Although our resistance is great to the major of situations (those damned carnivorous plants), many of us have sucumbed to the threats of Lustria (damned skinks)… So at this point my forces are little in number, but able to deal with many of whom will try to get in my way (strong, so strong).

I’ve already faced many risks in this jungle, two of them (and the most important) were giants. I’ve faced them, and for weeks we’ve fought, but my will broke them and now they became part of this raiding party… One of them had a major problem and i got him blind! For the need of moving i’ve attached the one and only of my trust gnoblars to him and is duty is to lead him to where we go and even in battle (major task for so little minds…).

My two gut friends helped me to restrain my forces so they could be safe in case of an unexpected counter charge and so my fleet is ok! But now we have a problem, and the problem is me. I sense that my mates seem to distrust me and my decisions (and i’m about to eat them), i feel that i’m letting them down! But regardless of that, they seem to follow me to wherever i go and they fight alongside me until we all sucumb to insanity… So insanity had broken us all, and that’s our link. Together we will fight to the end of days and that will be our fate so now i’m known as BORGH ARMBREAKER the INSANE!

As we left those lands (damend alived lands), we understood that glory and prowess was our fate (and that’s our bellys word) and so we now approach a new and unknown land and we are about to bound it to our will. Unnoticed we have tried to be, but in such populated land is very difficult (specially when you come with two giants along side you…)! So war is near, and we certainly aren’t going to run cause we are the strong and they are the weak.

We shall strike down our foe with sharp steel and cold hearts. The weak shall die so that the strong prevail and none shall be spared. Then and only then will our enemies know the true meaning of fear.

So prepare yourselfs weak fools cause the Borgh Armbreaker Insane Incursion is arriving, and bound to our will you’ll be, or else our bellys need to be full so you choose the right purpose to field in…

It looks like a very hard-hitting force, but the Gnoblar trappers just look weird in an army where there seem to be only ogres, Yhetees and giants. But are you sure Leadbelchers may be fielded in units of 2? I don't play Ogres, so I might be mistaken about that... And your units are small, which means lots of Panic tests at Ld7. But as soon as you get to close combat, you are unstoppable.

For the Great Maw!

yup you can take 2....

Well i do agree with @ztech about the gnoblars, and consdering how mobile your army already is with all those small mobile units, i'd recomend you dropping those gnoblars and adding 1 more lead bleacher as they are then less likely to run away and will have more firewpower.....always loved lead bleachers..... apart form that your army seems a bit small but considering it a sort of expeditionary force then its alright i suppose, your fluff isokay, just remember orges aren't that smart so don't for get to add in some " we think dat ze humies" lol well something like that unless your leader is rather smart heh
and good luck on yer torniament

I guys... i would love to put another 2 leadbelchers but getting those gnoblars out would get me 48 pts and i need 110 to put in 2 leadbelcher! i can't see what to take to get those points. As for them being dummies, yep that is correct but i tend to think that a Tyrant must have something in there rather than his stomach... LOL! As the story is being told by him i wrote it (more or less) like he's aware of his thoughts (apart from the fact that he's insane... LOL)!

Edit: I can manage to put another unit of leadbelchers if i get those gnoblars out, get the hunter naked only with the tusks and take the light armour of bulls... that would lead exactly to 2000pts! what do you guys think of it?

Thanks for the reply's guys and if you got more thoughts just feel free to post them... thanks!

no mate i ment droppign the gnobalr trapper squad for another lead bleacher model so you'd have 3 lead bleachers, more fire power and etc.

I agree with vampiric, the gnoblar trappers don't exactly fit in with this list to teribly well...

Well you guys, i came here to say what happened in the tourney. So we were 32 and i managed to stay in 20th place. My "enemies" were hell shooting dwarves, hell shooting lizzies and daemonic legion of khorne! I got two draws and a solid loss respectively (this one could have been a draw too.

The dwarf player was playing with 4 bolt throwers, 2 organ guns and 12 shooting dwarfs  besides the rest... well he tried to shoot me to pieces and in the end we managed a draw.

The lizzie player had tons of skinks (well did i say millions of tons??? ;) ), a stegadon, 2 priests, 3 terradons, 3 salamanders, 2x4 kroxies... well his tactic was much the same as the dwarf player and in the end another draw.

The khorne player had a bloodthirster, a bsb (undivided), a prince (undivided), 6 warhounds, 20 bloodletters, 1 chariot, 2x5/6 furies, 3 juggernaut... his tactic was much as mine, forward and charge ^_^ . I made 2 mistakes, one was not charging his bsb cause i didn't seen him and another was in my last turn charge his bloodthirster with my giant trying to knock him down. This turned the draw to a solid loss.

Well i finished in 20th place but managed to get the prize for best painted army, and that's what i wanted. I won a bull rhinox to add to my fleet.

Thanks to all you guys!

I there you guys, i'm not sure if this belongs here but since i've posted my list here awhile ago and hadn't got any pictures... so now they posted (the organisation) pictures from the tourney and i've made a web page so i could show you guys my army! i was hoping that you could give some feedback but i know that there aren't many close ups! well do the best you can.

Here you can find them. if you click in the small pictures a new window will open with the same picture but bigger.

Thanks in advance.
