Title: Witch Elves w. Hydra Banner- overkill?

What are the thoughts of you DE players on combining Witch Elves with a Hydra Banner? Do you consider it to be overkill, or are there some of you who actually use (or would consider using) it?

They have the 'Devotees of Khaine' rule, no character other than an assassin may join them. Read the army book, it's there.

in my oppinion overkill is just enough kill! of course i am joking there's no such thing as enough kill! :clap: anyway theoreticly speaking a hydra banner wouldn't be over kill, and isn't being underhanded and sneaky the druchii way!?!

In my opinion it'd be a total waste of points- if I saw a unit of 6+ save T3 combat machinces with a BSB in them, I would focus my fire on that unit- why give that thing the chance to get into combat if I can signifigantly wittle it down? If you had disruption like Dark Riders it could work, I suppose.
Then, it's not even possible, so I suppose it doesn't matter.

Yeah I wouldn't consider it overkill but more of a waste of placement for that banner. It's better used with cold one knights as it'll give the riders and cold ones +1 attack.
