Title: Mummified Warriors
Description: New unit idea

I have a couple of mummies back from last edition. They are well painted and its ashame that in the current edition I cant use them anymore. So I decided to make a new unit for TK. TK lack a unit of skirmishers - I think mummies as would work well in the role of elite skirmishers.

The reason why mummies arent included in the Khemri book is probably because the Tomb Princes and Tomb Kings are mummies themselves. But I think its rather unlikely that every mummy is a Prince or King.

The Mummified Warriors presented here once used to be nobles and belonged to the best warriors of the land. Due to their great power in combat they earned a lot of respect and when there time had come, great ceremonial burials were held for them. Their soul and flesh was supposed to be kept intact, so they were mummified.

When the Tomb Kings and their armies started rising from the depths of Nekhara, the Mummied Warriors were reanimated too. Though they have lost much of their former power, they still belong to the best warriors of Khemri.

Im experimenting with the rules for them. Please tell me what you think, as Im not sure about some of the stuff.

Mummified Warriors (if anyone has a better name for them, please let me know :P )

0-1 rare choice (maybe a special choice would be more appropriate, but generally TK have more need of special slots, so I didnt want to add a further unit into this category)

M WS BS S T W I A LD
4 . 4 . 4 . 4 4 2 .2 2 8

Unit size: 3-10

Weapons & Armour: Hand Weapon

Options:

- Can take Great Weapons for +6 points per model

- Can take Flails for +3 points per model

- One Mummified Warrior can be upgraded to a Mummified Champion for 15 points. The champion has one attack more in his profile. In addition, he may carry a magic item worth up to 25 points.

Special Rules:

Undead, Flammable, Skirmishers, Resilant Warriors*, Decayed Weapons**

*Resilant Warriors: During their burial, the bodies of the fallen veterans were blessed, so that the warrior spirit inside them would never escape their body.
Mummifies Warriors receive a 6+ ward save. In addition, if they are beaten in combat, they lose one wound less by CR (though they do not get the 5+ AS like Undead Constructs).

**When they were living, the Warriors wielded mighty weapons, which they were buried with. While they lay in their tombs, the weapon's natural process of rusting was modified by the auras in the tomb chambers, which made them maintain their original effectiveness, although they are covered with rot and mould from the last thousands of years.
Whenever a Mummified Warrior inflicts an unsaved wound, the opponent, if it is still alive, must make a toughness test. If it fails, it will automatically lose another wound. No saving throws are allowed against the extra wound. Note that the decayed weapons do not count as magical.

Point cost: Im really unsure. I was thinking somewhere from 20-25 points per model, maybe more.

Comments welcome! :)
