Im facing vampire counts on Sunday, ive played againsted them before and i got wooped because had to take a LD everytime i charge and failed and ran away
how could i beat them, this time ill be facing a 1000pts army
Knights Errant have low Ld, but they don't have to do a leadership test to charge the enemy. They have to do one NOT to charge the enemy. Grail Knights will be useful too, as they are immune to psychology. In addition, they have magical attacks (useful vs. ethereal creatures). Keep your peasants near of your knights because of their pathetic Ld.
i got 6 grail knights, 8 knights of the relm, 16 men-at-arms, 16 bowmen, lord, BSB, damsel level 2 with 2 despell scrols and my BSB and lord has magical wepons
Im puttin the lord with grail knights because hes has got the grail with they dont get the bonus point for outnubering
And when i saw him play he had:
30 skeletons
30 zombies
1 banshee
20 grave guard
vampire
necromancer
wraith
he dosent use the banshee when he played nurgle so he use 1 base of spirit hosts
If he only has the one ethereal base, use your damsel to counter it, just use the Lord of Life and you should get a magic missile of some sort. With only the one necromancer, your damsel should be able to handle the magic phase.
Use your two units of knights as a team when you try to punch through the undead ranks, so that with combat resolution on your side you won't have multiple rounds of combat.
If you have the ability to do so, drop the peasents for a third unit of knights, this way you can use two weaker units of knights in concert with each other, while the grail knights single-handedly maim whichever target you feel needs to be maimed.
The only enemy you need to be careful against are the grave guard, don't let them get in any swings if you can help it.
