I've never played Knights Errant, but they don't seem so good with only 3 WS and 7 Ld. I think the KOTR are a better deal for their points. I only take them.

i would use the normal brettonian list

I don't see anything compelling about the Errantry War list, but I do like to use one Knights Errant unit in my regular army. Instead of taking three KOTR units, the savings from downgrading one KOTR unit to Errants pays for upgrading another KOTR unit to Questing Knights. So instead of 3 KOTR and 1 Grail, I have 1 Errant, 1 KOTR, 1 Questors, 1 Grail. I like the variety both tactically and visually.

I have the SOC book but i dont have a bret book so i dont know there stats but it says instead of a normal champion they get a grail knight in the unit for 23pts or something like that and they also get modifiers to there leadership when charging a dragon/largetarget or when a damsal is withen 12" because they want to imprese the ladies. lol

A Grail Knight makes a nice Champion, but since normal Bretonnian champions are free, I'm not sure it's nice enough to be worth 22 points. And you can't have normal Grail Knight units in an Errantry list.

Near a Damsel or fearsome unit, Errantry War knights have an additional negative modifier to restrain from charging... it's not an advantage. The only real advantage is that each Errants unit count as having the Errantry Banner, which gives +1 Str on the charge.

[edit] Although I suppose it might be useful to have the Grail Knight as a champion if the Errants could use his 8 Ld. Can't find in the book whether the unit can use the higher Ld of a Champion, but it makes sense.
