Title: [List] 1500pts vs Generic (Conflict London List)

King Ulrik Flamebeard - June 29, 2005 08:32 PM (GMT)
First things first, I'm in it for fun. I don't expect to win (at all), so I'm going to try and make my games fun for me and hopefully my opponent.

I say I don't expect to win as I have very little experience and this is my first real GW tourny. So no high expectations here.

Thane (115)
Hw, GA, S
MRoSwiftness, RoCleaving, RoStone

Runesmith (157)
GW, GA
MRoBalance, RoSpellbreaking

Thane - BSB (138)
HW, GA
RoCleaving, RoResistance, RoStone

19 Warriors (196)
HW, HA, S
FC

16 Warriors (201)
GW, HW, HA, S
FC

10 Thunderer's (145)
DHG, LA
Musician

15 Longbeards (265)
GW, HA, S
FC - RoBattle

Stone Thrower (133)
3 Crew
RoAccuracy, RoPenetrating

Flame Cannon (140)
3 crew

Total - 1490pts

Now the gerneral idea is to have the three blocks in the centre of my battleline, the thunderers and one or maybe both WMs out on one of the flanks. Try to force them into the combat units and hopefully grind them down.

Thane - LBs
BSB - HW Warrs
RS - Roaming/WMs.

Now I also have a number of options open to me, one was to add 19 Ironbreakers with RoBattle instead of the Longbeards (drop the BSB's equipment to MRoGromril only). Bringing me to a total of 1499pts, but lacking any hard hitting units apart grom the warriors and gaining a strong holding unit.

Now, I've left myself little notice really as I go on hols from Friday to the Friday (meaning I return home two days before Conflict) leaving me the Sat to print off lists and pack army etc. So Basically I have tomorrow to see any suggestions and maybe the Sat before hand to 'fiddle' with the list.

Anything you can think that would help would be welcome. But please remember I'm in it for fun, so I will ignore any thing I consider cheesy or unsportsman like. Even if it is a viable tactic.

If you suggest something not here, I have plenty of other things I can add in (all units but an engineer and Hammerer's. Everything else I have at least one unit of, 20 in size).

Thanks.

It's an interesting a pretty good list, how ever I'd change a couple of things:
1: Do what you surgested with the longbeards as I prefer Ironbreakers.

2: Use 2 units of 10 dwarf warriors with GW.

3: Though I doubt you'll do it I'd cut the standard from the big unit of warriors and use the pts elsewhere as it's pointless at the momet.
