Dear meatball...
if you intend to run around your enemy pelting them with javelins then maybe you should try blowpipes instead. You get twice the number of shots( at the same strength as javelins) which means twice the number of poisioned hits. Let's face it, that's where the skinks make there points worth.
The 6+ AS might sound tempting but come on, 6+? it's just not worth it. The 5+ AS in close combat is also a moot point as skinks in combat is a bad idea. Even skaven slaves have better stats! and they get ranks and standard too! Just say no to skinks in combat...trust me.
With blowpipes you can really do some damage. If you somehow manage to get behind or besides an enemy unit(with M6 that's not hard) you can quietly sit by and throw 24 shots at them at 5+ to hit and 6 autowounds. Speaking statistically that's 4 poision hits and 4 normal hits which wounds T3 troops on 4+. All in all they have to take 6 saves or perish. Most units don't take this too well, especially since you get to do it again the next turn. Since you keep within 8" from them they won't be able to march and won't get very far.
Simple advice. Works plenty. Take it or leave it.

If I were to face your current army I'd probably ignore just about everything except the kroxigors. If you're hoping to get them in the enemys' flank you're going to have to be very creative. You haven't got much too divert attention from them with. Most likely the enemy will be facing them 100% of the time and not letting them get out of their sight. The kroxigors won't win a battle by themselves, not with WS3 no matter how hard they swing. Normally you'd be facing a unit with standard and 3 ranks, making you have to kill four of them just to get even! Failing to kill 5 or more makes them quite vulnerable as the enemy gets to strike first the next round, unless they also has great weapons or Initiative 1...On their own, kroxigors tend to lose combat against ranked units. Cavalry units with 8 or less models are the prime targets for kroxigors, the opponent most certainly knows this and will send some cheap troops to tie you up.

If you encounter a heavy-shooy army like HE or wood elves those kroxigors will be in serious danger. 4+ AS and 3W isn't much when you've got 20+ arrows coming your way besides most likely all the artillery the opponent has as well. Don't get me wrong, most of the time they can take some wounds and still reach the enemy. But in units of 4 or less they will have a pretty big chance of getting one model killed during turn 1 or 2 and taking a panic test. Ld 7( or 8 if your scar-vet is around) is almost reliable but it's a bit risky, they're a lot of points in a single unit.

Something you might want to consider if you're trying to have a mobile force is terradons. A basic unit of 3 doesn't cost much and they can really zoom across the battlefield and hamper the enemys movement. Just don't forget that they've got javelins as well, something I usually remember after the shooting phase is over.:( They would add some serious range to your army at this point, especially if the enemy has got mages or warmachines running on the loose. And with 3 attacks each they can deliver quite a punch on a charge.

Where are you going to put your scar-vet by the way? You better stick it close to or inside a unit to begin with or else he'll attract all the nasty spells and bolt throwers. He's got a good AS but no ward save so if you get hit by a spell or single bolt you're in big trouble.

An additional salamander can be great, if you're lucky with the artillery dice that is. Otherwise it's just a waste of points. Some opponents might think it's a little too much to have 3 salamanders in a army below 1000 pts, but then again they might have some combos too good to be true themselves. Just be prepared for a sigh from your opponent when you place three sallies with this list.

A list you can compare and think about:
1 Scar-vet : GW, LA, shield, Quetzl, Jaguar charm, Glyph necklace - 158 pts
12 skinks (blowpipes) - 72 pts
12 skinks (blowpipes) - 72 pts
3 Kroxigors - 174 pts
4 Terradons - 140 pts
2 Salmanders - 130 pts
It's not perfect, not sure if I'd want to field it myself, but it has some merit. Basically all the units move forward and get into position to ambush or shoot the enemy. Use the terradons to take out any warmachines before you get into combat. You can use the skinks as cover for your scar-vet to reach some specific target without having to put him out in the open. Have him join the kroxigors when deployed and then transfer him to the skinks in round 1 or 2 to give him some cover. Then, when you've got some shots of after two rounds or so you should have your scar-vet on one side of the table, the terradons one another and the kroxigors on a third. They all have great range and if you charge a single enemy regiment from all three sides you most likely will break them as you get +3 bonus from charging both flank and rear and then lots from kills. And it will appear as if they all came from out of nowhere, striking wherever they want. A beneficial side effect is that if you lose and try to flee the enemy has to choose which ones to go after as they have three units to persue.

There's more to do with this army, hope you think it through and post a new list.

Btw, I'm from sweden too, Malmö.
Sweden, the land of polar bears and nothing but busty blonde women. Yeah right. :)
