Its mainly a typical defensive list that can counter attack. I have spent quite a few points on characters so as to dominate the magic phase. I have also minimilised the points spent on core units as I don't really like huge beefy units. What do you think readers and what do think I should expand to for 2000pts.
Thanks in advance.
You do realise that there is a list exactly the same as this below entitled 1500pts. Just wondering.
Apart from the thread below this sort of tactic looks very familiar to someone's else post in which you encouraged him to 'beef up his units'. I feel the same sort of advice should apply to this list. There can be no counter attack if the enemy wipes out your unit in the first round of CC. You need a unit large enough to hold up a charge otherwise the opposition is in your lines and your reaper crossbows are screwed.
For example chosen knights, they would wipe out even your executioners. But thinking of a fairer example, say a large unit of skaven or empire, goblins even, they would get outnumber and a few for the rank bonuses, let alone any kills.
omid's right, you can't stand up to anything to have the chance to counter attack. You may be able to tramline once but other than that you're in trouble.
If you want to be in control of the magic phase and still be able to counter attack then I suggest running the characters like this:
Noble in COC (wand, HA, SDC, GW, enchanted shield) = 134
L2 Sorceress (cloak, seal) = 175
That gives you 5 PD and the wand, 4 DD, LD 9. That's only 2 less PD and one less DD, for a lot less points.
You should up the spear unit to 16 with shields, standard, and musician. A unit that can take a charge and provide static CR. If you could get a second unit in it would be good.
The knights should either be dropped for another chariot (and something else) or be 5 with standard and warbanner. Team them with another standardless unit.
The exes should be 10 or 12 with mucician and champ, they are a good counter-attacking flanker.
Crossbowmen should be upped to 12.
Shades can be dropped to 5, they do the same job cheaper.
Omid: Sorry about the list being printed twice. I didnt know if the first one was working.

...And two less spells which means less of the enemy will be dead before they reach me. Also i want the noble on a Cold One, not in a COC.
I've decided to drop the shades as they were illegal anyway as i had 4 special choices. :o . YThis frees up room to beef up the warriors to 16. Happy now! :fight:
Thanks guys.
P.S. Less of the sarcasm omid.
