Title: New LOTR campaign
Description: What can it be?

Hi guys (and girls), i was thinking of starting a new LOTR campaign with some freinds in summer and was thinking of ideas to base it around, story wise.

So i wanted to do a campaign which dosen't involve the ring so was kinda stumped on ideas, i thought maybe of doing a sort of rise of Aragorn or fall of the dwarfs idea but still am unsure.

I anyone has any ideas for me on this campaign such as a good way to run it or any ideas i could use it would be greatly appreciated ^_^,

Thanks in advance, farsight

Oh no, I am a big Lotr fan, I just didnt see this :(

Anyways a non ring themed army is easy to do, if you want to do dwarves then they will be expensive both points and money wise (all metal). Aragorn army would either be Gondor , Duendain + Elves or Army of the Dead, all of which can be fun and intresting, but expensive points wise (even more then dwarves) so dont expect a very large army with either force.

I myself stick to Rohan and a combination of Mordor and Haradrim forces, means i get to reenact the fantasic charge of the rohirm from Rotk and I can use mumakil and fellbeasts! ^_^

no offence intended but i already have a small dwarf force, it says on the other topic ^_^ , still no matters. what about a moria campaign with the dwarfs or something as at the moment i am stumped on what to have my campaign themed around, i don't no :(

still dwarfs rock, like my force of almost all khazad guard, balin and radagast the brown (he got lost on the way too his wizards meeting

If you have dwarfs and Radagast, you probably have the Shadow and Flame campaign book: why not base a campaign around that? I'm assuming it has rules for linked campaigns in the same way as ROTK and SOG have, so why not try?

The goblin force wouldn't be hard to collect either. If Battle games in middle earth is going to come out soon in your country (and hasn't come out yet), buy the first issue 5-6 times :D Get you heaps of the most important paints, a good quality brush, a die (never underestimate the power of the BGIME die), and 12 goblins. Hardly costs anything either ($5 Australian).

*scratches head thinking of recent game called that, ooh you mean the magazine, k that sounds cool i might do that. do you have to order it of the internet or something as they don't come out at shops anymore (in England that is ^_^ )

yes i got shadow and flame and was gonna do that sort of campaign but make up my own scenarios (one involves loads of goblins taking down a troll gone mad, evil vs evil :D ). i liked the moria campaign the best as you get the table for which you roll on in moria (yey no more horses- guess im gonna have to change radagast for gandalf the grey :P )

hanks for the advise it's always welcomed, farsight
