NOTE: You must have noticed that this army has no ranged weapon. But don't worry, I wouldn't play it alone. When I'll play it (in a very big game, in one week), I'll be allied with three other armies (that's a four-against-four very long battle) which will probably have archers and war machines. So I decided to focus on the Bretonnians' great strength: knights!

Background: The Count Robert is seeking the Grail for now fifteen years. He has travelled everywhere throughout the Old World and even beyond, without finding it. But the Lady of the Lake sent him one of her servants, the Lady Caroline, to guide him in his quest. Caroline revealed to Robert that the last thing he has to do to complete his quest is to cleanse Bretonnia from all forms of Chaos. Knowing that it would be impossible, as Chaos will always be, Robert nonetheless decided to raise a host, the Red Crusade, in order to fight evil wherever it hides. Although he had abandoned his titles and possessions long ago, the army of what had been his land before answered to his command. Now the Red Crusade doesn't live anywhere in particular, always travelling around the world and fighting the forces of Chaos under all their forms. The brave Robert, accompanied by his young cousin the Baron Xavier and his guide and wife the Lady Caroline (whom he married shortly after their encounter), will know no sleep (literally: no one has ever seen him sleep, for he doesn't need it) until he has driven the Chaos out of Bretonnia. Which, we all know, is impossible. But Robert has faith. Enemies of Bretonnia, fear the Red Crusade!

Here are more details about the Red Crusade and my characters...

This was Robert's castle before he went seeking the Grail.
(This is currently my wallpaper. What a beautiful place...)

This is a landscape of central Bastonne.

Southern Bastonne, a few leagues from Robert's castle.

Pretty nice, isn't it? Do you want more?

A good sloid base list, the pegasi knights and damsel give you that little bit of flexibility that most 1000 point lists tend to be missing.

Also, great wallpaper.
