Title: moulder character conversions
Description: ideas, anyone?

As a few may know, I'm going to start to collect a moulder army (Like the appendix says).
I was hoping for some advice or any ideas skaven players have for moulder characters. I was hoping to make them look different from just packmasters. I am aiming for one master moulder (whip), and 2 harbingers of mutation (preferably different; slight changes will do)

what about if you used the "throt the unclean" model but remove his arm holding the things catcher and place the whip arm from the rat ogre pack master (the outstretched whip)
i'll look around and see what i can come up with -_-

Thanks a lot farsight (sarcasim not intended) I do like the idea but I found two problems.
1) I can't seem to find the right packmaster
2) I have a feeling if that packmaster is like the other two models, the whip will be on the left arm (where throt's handweapon is)
Instead I think I'll just use Throt's body and use his whip as well; only put in place instead of the thing-catcher and fill the original hip hole with green stuff :thumb:
Unless Other suggestions arrive...... (I am also wishing to obtain two harbingers as well)

that sounds pretty good idea, what about if you put the arm on throts other shoulder so he has foru arms  actually no that won't look good, my head hurts at the moment i'll post back later
(that was not spam)

Heres an idea. Im horrible with conversions but even I almost made it work.
Take the chain from a flail(maurader set), place a blade on the end instead of the ball and then glue it to a nightrunners hand. Just pick the best body and head and use it for all of them for continuities sake and maybe a cloak and you could have something. I hate the packmaster models personally.
As for harbringer I used thanquols staff on a nightrunner body and chains to make a whip in the other hand(like above). It looks ok. I wont win an award this side of the special olympics but hey its a try. Ill try to think of something else. Good luck.

I was just browsing round the GW storefront and thougt the grey seer model would be great for a harbinger except have a few adaptions to it and give it a mouldery lick of paint.
I thought instead of using the horned head (however cool it is) I could use the bone head from the skaven clanrat head set. But I think it will look a little tacky.( maybe I'll use a clanrat unarmoured head and some gore/froth to it)
Also, backlash, In my experience plastic model conversions for characters has never come out so great and also I don't really want to buy extra rat bodies for just one minituare. Thanks for the tip though.
Anyone got a great idea for the last harbinger?

OK, So i've bought, made and painted my master moulder (from throt) and I have purchased two models from the online store one is an old chieftain:
chieftain with sword(I hope the hyperlink works) the model is good in my opinion because
1) he has no armour
2) he is pointing in a direction; this is good because the spell he casts makes him summon a tide of vermin and then directs it to where he wants them to go.
the second purchase is a soon to be old plague monk. I think it looks good because he has a staff and again, no armour.
Plague monk 1It is the first monk I purchased and with the right paint job I think he will look great. I wouldn't have bought this mini if the new monks weren't coming out because everyone would have this model. Instead everyone will probably get the new box set and forget about this mini; giving me more individuality to my army.
Thanks for the suggestions (especially farsight) and I hope to somehow show these models on the site once they are painted, but I have to find out how to get the pics onto the internet; can anyone tell me?

i like the chieftain model as it is pointing (like you said) in the direction so when you summon the tide of vermin they will go swamp the enemy :D .
the plague monk sounds a little odd but after you give it a decent paint job it should be just right.
they are both for your harbringer aren't they omid?
also with the pictures why don't you try to copy and paste the picture in as i would like to see what the finished model looks like. if that don't work try asking a mod like lord chilli, he will probally help you.
