Title: Cult of Slaanesh Role Play
Description: Free Run
Darmort - March 6, 2005 12:15 PM (GMT)
A free run Role Play, meaning no fixed plot and not the usual RPG/RP rules.
However, there are basic rules, they're here;
No God Gaming (IE, adding a Greater Daemon and then kicking it and it dies, or charging into an army of Orcs and winning and so on).
No Magic equipment or Magic User (To prevent confusion, also, this is a widely used item, by not using Magic).
One plot at a time (if someone starts a plot up, no one should tamper with it, it's his/her plot after all).
Elves only, Druchii that is (well we are Cult of Slaanesh, :rolleyes:)
The timeline: After the Storm of Chaos and after the Flesh and Blood.
Name: Selrath
Age: 340
Race: Slaaneshi Druchii
Equipment: Two long curved daggers, falchion, a tight fitting leather jerkin (and it makes her look sexy, :D), soft leather, calf high boots, tight leather breechs (all the leather is red, by the way).
Appearance: The clothing is in equipment, Selrath's hair is long and black, she has green eyes and, well, she's got Druchii like skin, pale yet beautifull.
History: She won't say, last person to ask got a dagger in the face, followed by both feet in the groin.

OOC: Why no magic? Doesn't seem that it would be extremely unbalancing to me, considering that this is free-form.

Magic can be an over powering Force in some forms, if a Character gains Magic by some means in his own plot, fine, but that, however, is my opinion. Although I suppose a Magic User about 1/4 Level 1 would be okay... (note, when ever I use Magic in a Role Play, it's in the form of; Shock, Lightning, Sleep, Stun, and so on.)
Well, join as Magic User if you must, but only one, I don't want a million Magic Users joining, I'd have to crack some heads together!

Wait a minute - this is a free-form game, yes? Meaning that there are no rules governing combat, in any way? So why, then, would you say that magic is unacceptable, when you've already set limits on the effect any character can have on another's plot? Why not just say anything goes, as long as it's reasonable?

It's free-form, yes.
No combat rules as of such, just no God Gaming (like killing a million Bloodthirsters with a pin.).
I'm not saying it's unacceptable, I'm just suggesting (or at least I am now) to keep Magic in small ammounts, like, oh, I don't know, 1/8 of Level I.
If anything goes, imagine this Character then;
Name: UBER POWA!
Sex: Male
Age: 849673879453680954609868972908346509745698 millenia
Race; old one
equipment; steel staff that holds the power to kill Chaos, although he counts as a 84 Level Mage.
history; he helped to make the world!
Somehow I think that's a bit to big, even a Character like this;
Name: Tan
Sex: Male
Age: 746
Race: Elf
Equipment; Ten throwing daggers, two long swords, both curved, Level 3 Mage, wrist mounted dart throwers, repeating crossbow and heavy armour.
history; He doesn't have one
That's still going over the top. No, there's a limit to what Characters can actually carry and use. Magic will also have a huge impact in combat, and when threating and things, if there's a limited amount of Magic it would be less so.
That clear it up? Or am I going to have to make a new Role Play?

No, see, that's a problem with the players, not with allowing magic. A reasonably player will use magic as a tool to develop their character, not as a means to stupid power - what's the point of going so over-the-top anyway, when there's no way to win an RPG? In this case, there aren't even mechanics to exploit, just being a jackass, and that's the kind of character you, as the GM, would veto.
Really, I wouldn't imagine you'd need to ban anything - just state that you're looking for a fun game, and see what comes. Not that I'm especially interested in a freeform plotless game regardless.

Well lock this, and I'll start a new one then, this one's become Spam already.
Lock please. I'll try again,

This isn't spam; it's potential players giving you our thoughts on what you can do to attract people to your game. If you don't want input then say so, but don't expect a very big turnout if that's the case.
