Do you have the rulebook? Just asking people to tell you the rules puts the site at risk for copyright infringement, if GW were to take an interest.
If, of course, you do have the book, say so and I'm sure somebody can direct you to the correct page.

from a fluff point of view they are typically a blade surrounded by a energy field. They can come in two main forms, one that works like a power fist and when the sword comes into contact with a surface it discharges the energy and the 2nd type is the cutting field that makes the sword super shap by repelling any material it comes into contact with making it easyer to cut through armour and the like. Think hot knife through butter idea.

it wouldnt be copywrite. more like sharing information that would be vital for my choices of future investments in this game/product.

You mean you're considering playing warhammer 40,000, but only if the rules for a single minor weapon are to your liking?

Strange. But anyways (I believe) this forum was repremanded by GW before about posting rules and the like here onforum. That and stats and junk. A forum I belonged to before was shut down for the same reason. (or so they say that was the reason)

I believe a power weapon auto-wounds on a 6+ and some other stuff you really need to check out a $50 rulebook like GW recommends

your all wrong it just ignores armour saves...
and no its not copywright its just giving him a rule.

@Join my forums: Now you're new here so I think it would be a good idea to explain something to you: generally, if a thread has not been posted in for a over a month it is considered dead. Posting in such a thread (a practice reffered to as 'threadomancy' or necromancy) is typically frowned upon and it's probably not a good idea to do it (unless the thread is a 'sticky', in which case: feel free). It's quite an annoying restriction I know, but it can also be annoying for older members to see old threads which have already run their course brought back up again.
As you haven't been here long this one isn't such a major issue, but you should try to avoid doing it in the future.
