First I would be a keyboard that has a caps lock functin, so that you can take yours off :D
Second, it's sKaven.
Third, I would suggest buying at least 2 regiments of CR, making sure that both have the capacity for 30 stronog. Then get your weapns teaams (2RR, 1 WTF). From there, wait for plastic monks. Other than that, night runners are a wise investment, as are Globes.

From there, you can have a failry generic list, and add what you like :D

Archaon, Lord of End Times - March 3, 2005 02:04 AM (GMT)
As always, what you should buy depends on your opponets/taste. A large block or two of clanrats is always a good idea. Are you really going to be 2K point games when you have just started? I suggest getting the warlord model, as it can also be a 53 point GW armed chieftain. Not to mention they look cool. Ratling guns are a staple in any skaven army, unless it's heavily themed.

More help upon more information.

Ok.2 regiments are good,i was expecting 4 at least.Weapon teams?I prefer 3 RR not only two.Plastic moncks yeah,i am waitting them in may with the battalion.Globes?I think a combination with some bases of swarms they can take down a lot of cavalry. Why not ?I will take them but how many?

We will start early June i think i will be ready.I was thinking to buy a seer to boost my army with his mighty army.
I will face to the campaign these races;

Orcs & Goblins
High Elves
Bretonnia
Dark Elves
Lizardmen
And two more forces of Orcs.
I need some army selections from you with warlord or seer and i will write soon my list to critick. :thumb:

Well, in you list of oponents, there is baccically only one horde like army. (well three, the O&G) So what you might want to do is focus on vastly outnumbering your freinds. If your looking for a list of what to buy, heres my input. (based on the armys you listed)

Warlord (can use as cheiftin before you have 2000 pts.)
2 boxed sets of clan rats
1 box set night runners, 2 units of 10
wepon teams and jezzils (1 ratling gun, 1 wft, 4 jezzils)
stormvermin, 2 box set, 1 unit
(second hero of your choice, i recomend engineer or assasin)

that should take a while so after you get everything i said, you should be able to guide yourself on what you need.

farsight - March 7, 2005 04:51 PM (GMT)
that seems to be a pretty nice list (i don't know if you know but you wrote stromvermin as
QUOTE
stormvermin, 2 box set, 1 unit
which is untrue as they are in blisters of 3, unless you mean the older stormvermin)

Vriishnak the Twisted - March 7, 2005 05:28 PM (GMT)
At least in Canada, all blisters have been gradually being phased out for unit boxes, which is probably where the mixup is coming from. Remember that the packaging isn't the same across the world.

The Albino Rat - March 7, 2005 09:29 PM (GMT)
At my store (in the US) there are boxed sets and the only blisters are command units. In a boxed set, there are 10 metal stormvermin.

farsight - March 9, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
apoligies i did not know (cool stormvermin in boxed sets ^_^ )

Tnx guys for help now i am ready for the campaign.Dwarfs and Skaven?wow the ultimate duo.Tnx again guys. :P

Nakia Sacred Kroxigor - April 5, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
be sure to use night runners those things make dwarf players like me mad as !@$%&%^. So have fun!

Steve The Rash - April 9, 2005 10:15 AM (GMT)
Tnx for the tip but why night runners i don't use them.

Derek101 - April 11, 2005 03:42 PM (GMT)
You don't use night runners? why not? I mean 12" a turn on the flanks; they are very handy for exterminating war machines and harassing big blocks of units. Also they are incredibly cheap, 180pts for 10 with throwing stars and a night leader. :ph43r: :fight: :ph43r: :fight: :ph43r: :fight: :ph43r: :fight: :ph43r:

farsight - April 11, 2005 04:15 PM (GMT)
i would recomend gutter runners instead of night runners as they can tunnel which will hopefully disrupt the enemys march moves/ take out war machines, but night runners still rock :fight:

also you can kit Gutter runners up with poisoned weapons and tunneling meaning you have too buy less models, yey

||RaveN|| - May 5, 2005 08:06 AM (GMT)
The thing I will recomend is expensive! but if you LOVE your skaven. then be for you stop play. I promise you will have this:

Buy first! 1 lord and sme heroes.
then some core units like : 4 boxes clanrats(2 ratling guns) 1 night runner box. some poisoned wind globadiers.
then some special: Maybe 5 ratogres will doo.. some plague monks. gutter runners and some jezzails (10 to be axactly) and 2 warp lightning cannons.

this will cost you a lot of money. but I promise that if you LOVE your skaven. This is a good advice.

But if you don't got so much money: 2 clanrats boxes.1lord 1 hero. 5 jezzails and 1 warp ligthning cannon.

Thats a start. you can also buy the Skaven Battalion box

there includes: 2 clanrat units, 20 plauge monks. and 2 ratogres with packmasters.

Thats something to  for :thumb:

thats something that sucks. don't use tunneling teams!! they are not that good.

use gutter runner as scouts and a assasin with bands of power and 2nd hand weapon.

then he got S8 in combat and with throwingstars. but of course you can dispel the bands of power. but first soem magic from the warplock engineers :thumb:

What do you think of that`??

Backlash1313 - May 5, 2005 04:28 PM (GMT)
I kinda like giant rats for the same reason as Omid like night runners and they are less expensive. But Im also a moulder guy. Just a thought though.

Man you are inside my mind i thought it too but now i am looking for a relative cheap army.Ah the same army list without the cannons.
