After a chat with Phil yesterday I decided to remake my ogre list and make it a little more nasty, but fluffy and fun. Ogres + Gnoblars + Lots of shooting = Happy Ras
The Iron Skin Rhinoxs V1.1
Tyrant (HA, Tenderiser, Wyrdstone Necklace, Bull Gut, 1 luck Gnoblar)
Butcher (Scroll, Skull Mantle)
Butcher (Scroll, Bang stick)
Hunter (2 Puppies, Masterdon Armour)
3 Bulls (LA, AHW)
3 Iron Guts, S (Warbanner)
3 Iron Guts
8 Trappers
20 Gnoblar Fighters
Scrap Launcher
Scrap Launcher
2 Lead Belchers
2 Lead Belchers
1998 in total
6 PD + Bang Stick
4 DD + 2 Scrolls
10 units!
29 Gnoblars :D
Ok, so quite a change. The tyrant has got a big smacky stick, the hell hearted butcher has been replaced with my Bolt Thrower armed hunter, who is there to shoot, more then he is to kill. The units of three led belchers have disapeared in favour of the scrapper, because the more I think about it the more I feel two are necessary! The gnoblars are there because I have to have them, but also because the scouts offer me that very nice advantage, the fighters are there because of their shooting ability. I reckon they will be rather useful when lined up in 10x2 :o - 20 shots! Shame I had to loose the giant, but his lack of stubbornness did worry me. Overall I think the list looks much better (I know I should keep the third butcher - with the sword of battle and longstrider - but hunters are just to kool). Lots of shooting in this list. If I had the points I would give the tyrant a pair of pintle mounted handguns, which would be rather funky!
All input requested,
Ras
3 Ogres per unit is, in my opinion, too small. Go for units of 4 or more.
To be honest that is spam. Either contribute properly and explain what you are saying or don't post at all. Especially as you onbviously haven't noticed there are three infantry units and 2 butchers. One Bulkls unit is bait and support, the other two get butchers...
Ah. Point taken. Never mind.
(Looks over again)
Hmm . . . looks good.
