EDIT: Oh, alright. Some actual infomation: I'm an Empire player. I've been floating around since White Dwarf 204- much to my chagrin, I realise that means it's nearly been 100 issues since I first discovered the joys of tiny lead miniatures. I'm getting old.

I'm sure y'all will love it here- the Palace is one of the finer warhammer-related discussion forums on the 'Net, and it's members are helpful and friendly.

Hi all, I'm Prince Cal and I'm God.

I post in Warhammer, High Elves, Orcs and Goblins, Vampires, Brets, Rpg, Area, Painting and Off topic. Though I post in all of these I mainly spend most of my time in High Elves (my fav army) and Rpg where I play in rpg's where I can and am currently running my 2nd rpg Mousillion.

I can give you help across the board in warhammer and am always happy to help. I also have a large dislike of 40k though am considering my return in the shape of my long suffering eldar army.

I am a good at painting and modeling so if you want help there again I will be most happy to give it to you.

Finally, I love political debates so I will get entangled in most of them at my times expense.

Hey I'm longdrong A.K.A Ross.I come here just about every day and according to my profile i post 3.7 times a day, So I'm likely to come acros you sometime or another.

I collect Dwarfs and a night goblin army,and there's a speed freek army on the horizon.

I usually post in off topic,the hobby boards,RPG, O+G or dwarfs.I will try to help you if I can and the other members will go out in their way to undermine me.


My fave aspect of the hobby is modelling but I win quite a lot of my games so I consider myself good at strategy and tactics so i can help you in both of these areas.

I have quite a low attention span though so I rarely write articles or stories.

Hello, I am DLJ, one of the original members of the Warhammer Palace. I joined shortly after it was founded way back when.

I'm an avid VC player, and I've also played Chaos and Bretonnians with minor forays into the worlds of 40k and Necromunda. I'm generally more than happy to give advice on tactics and army lists, I've played the game for just over nine years now so I at the very least like to think I know what I'm on about! ;)

Anyways, welcome to the Palace, one and all. May your stay here be an informative and pleasant one.

It was for introducing new members. What seems to have started off as a joke kind of went downhill. New members, please join in.

I didn't realise it was a joke,I just jumped on the bandwagon.

I was jokey and being serious. I think it's a good idea though if we have the better members posting here so new members know who to turn to.

I think older, not better is the best way to put it. I was just, as Londrong says, "jumping on the bandwagon".

Well, being a newbie on other forums, I know it's always easier to introduce myself if I can read everyone else's introductions first. Although, I should probably put a little more infomation into mine. Heh.

Okay, I'll be the first more-or-less new guy to introduce myself. :)

I'm an avid VC player, though I have collected HE, skaven, Chaos, DE and the Empire (all in two or three years!), but I am currently beginning a Dogs of War army. I'm a member of the Blood Keep forum, the Realm of Applefort forum and the Teqniq Forum (the last one has very little warhammer though). I hope to do more than I have done so far for Warhammer Palace

I know this is the introduction thread, but i have decided to leave the site for a longer period of time. I will therefore tell a little goodbye story about a guy named lancelot, who have enjoyed the last three months on this site :D

it all started with a n00b, having heard about a game named warhammer from his friend. being as competitive as he is, he wanted to make an über army, so he could smash his friends armies to pieces..

the first thought running through his mind was: I got to make a chaos army! And so I did, i build it up from scratch and the final army was fine, but i needed oppinions on it, so i found a warhammer forum by total luck, and gave myself the user name: Launcelot Pappillion, and then I posted my very first post here:

My very first thread

As you can see, i discovered the almighty slann, and some moderater too, and I found out that VC was the way to go :wub:
I was then about to leave the site, but I needed more oppinions about my new army, and seeing that they replied nice here I made another thread:

My second thread

Now I really began to talk with the lovely people here, but I didn't know as much about warhammer as others here, therefore I joined the RPG section, and there i had some nice fun (don't worry Ross I will still be in your RPG here, but thats the only place i will post)

My first RPG on the internet, and it's still going strong.

After a time there, I decided to find me an army. the first tries were unsuccesful

later i found my figures, but first I spend some more time roleplaying and i decided to give some adversiment for a good site I played on, but a site that is long dead by now

I chased my lobing for D&D, and tried yet another time

I turned back to chaos to find out if they were as cheesy as I have heard.

then I began in the arena section and played some more RPG here, while i began to post more all around the forum.

Well, my reason for posting here in spite of my long tenure as a member was twofold:

1) It was partly as a joke. It was rather late, and my sense of humor gets a bit odd at those hours. I had to edit it several times in an effort to remove all traces of snide insulty-ness.

2) I wanted to see if anyone else would "jump on the bandwagon" as some of you put it, and copy my move of "re-introducing" themselves in spite of being longstanding members. My hypothesis was that by beaming mind-controlling psionic waves through my monitor while I typed the post, I would be able to obtain a very high turnout of "bandwagon jumpers." Obviously, this proved to be correct. My conclusion is that I will soon be able to use my budding powers to take over the world, ruling with an iron fist from atop a black tower located somewhere around Hawaii (which will be emptied of all indigenous life and made into an extensively guarded buffer zone around said black tower). Or something along those lines.

Aesgareth, Aesgareth, Aesgareth; I'm very disappointed.

That plan isn't very well thought out, a BLACK tower in Hawaii?

Think of the air conditioning costs, you'll never be able to maintain it and the army necessary to defend yourself against those who have a natural immunity to mind control (ie. the incredibly smart or stupid (which means that most world leaders would be immune)).

Also, by broadcasting your mind control through mediums, it will not reach underdeveloped areas, leaving a possible army of hundreds of millions if they suddenly decided they didn't want a dictator in a black tower ruling over everything.

Thirdly, take a look at the history of people who have tried to take over the world, they always fail in the end.

So, you may want to reconsider. Maybe find an ally with the military might necessary to carry out such a plan.

Hi, there's not really much point in saying "I'm new here" as it's kind of redundant.

I've played a few small battles with High Elves, and decided I didn't like them. Now I've moved over to Wood Elves, for various reasons.

I live in the UK, and my painting skills are... substandard. I also hate cavalry units.

I'm introducing myself,
but am i really introducing myself?
I like: Mighty Boosh, Cheese (made from milk) and play High elves and eldar.
